Council Minutes 3-17-70 <br />- 3- <br />be rejected. This motion waa eeconded by Mr. Prokasy. Affirmative vate <br />Boehliiar, Hodgins, Limpert, Prokssy, Speedling. <br />In reference to O1msCed Towers - a revised plan was approved by the <br />Planning Comr.:-*.ssion and Design & Platting Committee approved same. <br />Mr. Speedling made a notion to eccept revised p3an of Olmsted Towers. <br />This motion was seconded by Mr. Boetmex. Affirmative vote Boehmez, <br />Hodg,ins, Limpert, Prok$sy, Speedling. <br />At this time rir. Speedling set a date for Public Hearing of Ordinances <br />No. 69-220 and 69-221 - Brookpark extenslon - on April 27, 1970, at <br />8t15 p.m., City Hall. <br />Pir. Prokasy, Chairman Public Safety GommitCee, stated this Comnittee met <br />on March Sth, and quite a f.ew recommendations have been made and have been <br />sent to Law Director for leQislation es follocas: <br />l. Codified 4rdinance Section 509 -"Disorderly Conduct & Peace Disturbance" <br />- Delete Section A of Penaity 3ection and use Section B to cover entire <br />Chapter of 509 instead af just specified sections. <br />2. Codified Qrdiaance 537.12 -"Larceny by Trick". - Add a sectian to <br />Codified cahich covers taxi cab fare where a person calling cab and used <br />services of cab and then refused ta pay. <br />3. O.R.C. - Section 2917.211 -"Trespassing," - R.equest legislatian covQring <br />trespassing or loiterivg on school property by unauthorized persons. <br />These recommendations have been approved by Police Chfef, Police Prosecutor <br />and Rocky River Court. <br />The Fire Chief and Suilding Commissionex are in agreement with request of <br />Board of Bui2ding Code Appesla for an addition to be mac2e to the multiple <br />housing €amily code regarding sprinkler heads in locker storape rooms. <br />Also, requested ordinanee covering safety standards on pro,jection booths <br />in movie theatres. presently the State Code is weak in some areas, govern- <br />ing only theatres shc*,ring 15 mm films and all theatres regardless of film <br />size should come under ordinance; also requested Zegislation for demolition <br />of former Print Shop & Retail Stores at 27738 Lorain Road. <br />Mr. Prokasy reporCed state of demolktion of Dunn property on Guilford, same <br />has been demalished without condemnation proceedi.ngs; Stark praperty on <br />Porter - demolition is complete; Aindia property at 23232 I,orain Road - <br />condeamation proceedings under?Tay; and Mastick Stables hag Einally been <br />demoiished. <br />Mr. Prokasy repQrted the Committee also discussed ;tiTith Chiefs o£ Police <br />and Fire, positian of Safety Director and it was agreed and Comm3.ttee is <br />recommading that at this point there be no change, to stay as is in the <br />hands of the Mayor. <br />,??,? <br />;-
