Council Minutes 1-6-70 <br />-3- <br />Pto. 5- To add the rank of Captain to Che Fire Department <br />and to change the Organization Chart to provide <br />for three Captains. <br />No. 6- To standardize the Holiday Policy for all regular <br />employees to provide for seven paid holidays, inclu- <br />ding employee!s birthday. The holidays will be <br />New Years, rimorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanke- <br />giving and Christmas. . <br />No. 7- Clerk of Coumcil psy $5,000.00. <br />No. 8- Service Director pay range from $12,040.00 to <br />$16,000.00. <br />No. 9- Acting City Engineer pay range fram $13,000.00 <br />to $16,000.00. <br />No. 10 - Assistant Engineer pay range from $9,000.00 to <br />$12,000.00. <br />No. 11 - Building Connissioner pay range fram $9,000.00 to <br />$12,000.00 plus changes in requirements for <br />Inspectors. <br />4D No. 12 - Service Llepartment pay ranges (a list of these <br />along with the Building Department Inspectors wi11 <br />be submitted to the Law Director.) <br />No. 13 - Income Tax Adjustor pay $5.00 per hour. <br />Mr. Prokasy, Chairman af Design & Platting of 1969, reported unfinished <br />business: I) S. D. C. Subdivision: - Traffic survey underway; Mayor <br />had contracted for survey - has not received same yet; 2) Ou groposed <br />Brookpark Sxtension: - rezoning ordinances for that purpose are on <br />secoad reading tcmight. 14ill have to set a date foz 1'ub13c Hesring <br />at next meeting in view of new Clerk; 3) North Olmsted 5ubdivision - <br />She].1 Oil Station aC corner of Berkshire and Lorain - had requested <br />and received repoxt from the Police Department in regard to traffic <br />conditions. Mr. Prokasy then read letter from Patrolmen Russell Bierman <br />of the Police Department. Mr. Bierman, in conclusian, recammended that <br />approval of planned facility not be granted. Reasans for rejectiar? as <br />follows: "Driveway needs for service stations are generally for 2 way <br />operation. The west driveway noted on Lorain Road i$ too close to inter- <br />section beCause of location of aignal heads. The locatioa would iater!`er <br />with proper storage of vehicles westbound on Loraln. The south dr3.veway <br />on Berkshire Road would be of no value to any motorist other thaa cne <br />using Bexkshire Road northbound. It is usually assumed that the goaera- <br />tion of a facility represents new traffic attracted to the site, via <br />routes of aecees. Our concern is can traffic be taken in and out of <br />the facility with maximum convenience and minimum hazard to all road <br />?:?«r
