Council Minutes of 7-5-72 .,3- <br />Mr. Prokasy stated the Streets ~ Drainage Coamt.~t ~r3.17..~st on Jutl~ d; 1972, <br />7:30 P.M., to meet with residents on Damn Drive concerning a specific flooding <br />problem in that area. <br />Mr. [+lest, Chairanan Building, Zoning & Development Con~eaittee and Long Range <br />Planning CoaMeittee, reminded everyone of the Building, Zoning & Dewel t <br />Coamdttee meeting with residents of Fine Ridge Subdivision regarding Gold <br />Circle Store and buffer zone on 8roo'kpark 8xtension to be held July 6, 1972, <br />8:00 P.M., City Hall. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mx. Hobert Burns, 23478 Stoneybrook Drive, presented Council with a petition <br />signed by 65 residents on Stoneybroak Drive and Greenwood Lane regarding <br />flooding condition on Stoneybrook and Gree~ood Lane ~ to storst water peste- <br />trating sanitary sewer systems and causing backup in baaemeats of water and <br />sewage. Would like to knave what has been done and mat will be done to correct <br />this problem. Mr. Burns stated he would personally like to have a report. <br />Mr. Caster stated the heavy rains on June 23rd and Jumble 29th were Dual, <br />setting records in this area and that this should be tslcen into cra~+deration. <br />Two days before the store on June 29th, the Service Department had started <br />T.V. in that area oa Greesiwood Lane. A crushed section of the was fcsmd. <br />This will have to be dug up and repaired aamd it ties into some of the road <br />settling in that area also. This is as far as the Service Department got <br />when the second storm hit the area. Mrs. Burns questioned if it is going <br />to cost the residents anything directly if the main sewers have to be replaced. <br />Mr. Caster stated there are funds set aside within the Serest Revenue Pond for <br />systems maintenance. These funds will be cased. Directly it will not cost the <br />residents anything except inconvenience; during repair work. Discussion coatinuced. <br />Mr. West questioned what the neatt step is. Mr. Caster said when he can deteracine <br />how extensive the dasrage is !~ will have a better feel whether it c+eun be handleid <br />with City crews or whether Gity would have to contract. M soon ~ possible <br />work will continue in that races. Hopes to have a progess report by react Cocmcil <br />Meeting. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance 2io. 72-89 introduced by Mr. Prokasy was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance consenting to the ausintece acrd repair of certain streets and <br />roads by the Board of County G~eissioaers of Cuyahoga County, Ohio. 1~lr. Prokasy <br />moved for adoption of Ordinance, seconded by Hr. Boehaner. Affirmative vote <br />Boehmer, Giessen, Prokasy, Beringer, Speedling, West. Motion carried. <br />Resolution No. 72-90 introc~nced by Mr. Prokasy was gives its third reading. <br />A Resolution declaring the ity of constructing and repairing of ce>•tain <br />sidewalks on the east side of l~rtin Drive between North Psrk Drive, and <br />Porter Road; on the east side of Laasssinffi Drive between North Park Drive to the <br />North Olrted Municipal Corpoui-ton Line; on the south side of Oring Drive be- <br />tween Lansing Drive and Harriet Drive; on Noreen Drive, permanent parcel 140. <br />231-1-40, an Gard~is Drive, ps~t parcel too. 232-4-73, pe t parcel <br />No. 232-4-74, perasenent par!asl No. 232-4-75, pera-~+ent parcel No. 232-er-90, <br />permaasnt parcel No. 232-~-38, perm~ent parcel No. 232-1$-bl crud taua~ Drive, <br />permae~ent parcel No. 235-10»117', in the City of Nozth Olssted, E'Rtio requiring <br />that abutting property owners construct same.
