Council Minutes of 11-7-73 <br />-4 - <br />® Resolution No. 73-134 introduced by Mr. West was given its second reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for record purposes only the J. Herbert Bazur's Re- <br />Subdivision. <br />Resolution No. 73-135 introduced by Mr. West was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution accepting for record purposes only the Stearns Road Resubdivision. <br />Mr. Limpert moved the Finance Director furnish Fiscal Officer's Certificate <br />in connection with Ord. No. 73-I36, seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote: <br />Boehmer, Giesser, Limpert, Beringer, Speedling, West. Motioa carried. Finance <br />Director Gerlach furnished Fiscal Officer's Certificate. <br />Ordinance No. 73-136 was introduced by Mr. Limpert. An Ordinance authorizing <br />the issuance of bonds for the purpose of paying the City's portion of the cost <br />of improving Porter Road and certain other streets and public easements by con- <br />structing sanitary sewers, sewer curb connections and necessary appurtenances, <br />including necessary street resurfacing and restoration of drainage facilities, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for suspension of rule requiring <br />three separate readings, seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, <br />Giesser, Limpert, Saringer, Speedling, West. Mr. Limpert moved for adoption, <br />seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, Limpert, Saringer, <br />Speedling, tJest. Motion carried. Ord. No. 73-136 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 73-137 was introduced by Mr. Speedling and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to employ appraisers for the purpose of <br />determining the value of real estate necessary to construct a Recreation Complex. <br />Resolution No. 73-138 was introduced by Mr. Limpert. A Resolution authorizing <br />the Mayor to sign a contract with the Cuyahoga County General Health District <br />for the year 1974, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Limpert moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three separate readings, seconded by Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative <br />vote: Boehmer, Giesser, Limpert, Saringer, Speedling, West. Mr. Limpert moved <br />for adoption, seconded by Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Giesser, <br />Limpert, Saringer, Speedling, West. Motion carried. Res. No. 73-138 adopted. <br />President O'Neill and Council recognized young men in Pack 203 - Den 4 of <br />Webelos in audience. <br />Under Old Business: Mr. Giesser referred to installation of a turn lane by <br />Fairview Park at Brookpark and Mastick. Have received complaints by residents <br />on Clague Rd. that they are receiving all of the traffic that cannot turn on <br />Mastick Rd. Mr. Giesser requested Safety Director Carnahan to write to City <br />of Fairview Parlc asking as to when installation will be. <br />Mr. Giesser inquired of Mayor Christman if final payment has been made to everyone <br />regarding ozonators in connection with treatment plant; and whether payment is <br />being held up so City can be assured that the smell will be taken care of. Mayor <br />Christman stated payment is held up until problem is corrected. Service Director <br />Caster added that a study on air problem dawn there has been started and is <br />awaiting report from Zimpro and Floyd Broome on that. <br />Mrs. Saringer inquired when the residents on Stoneybrook will be getting trees. <br />Service Director Caster stated tree man will start momentarily. <br />
