Committee <br />discussed requesting the State Legislature to aam-nd certain chapters of the <br />Ohio Revised Cade in regard to certain alspects of the liquor control la~rs~. Will <br />introduce Res. No. 74-157 tonight regarding saaae; <br />2) C~aaittee met with Fire Chief Beam~ant, Safety Director Carnahan and Councilman <br />Wilamosky regarding the rtmoval of the rescue vehicle from Fire Station #2 to <br />Fire Station #1. Chief Bement enlightened the Cktaabttet and Councilman Wi1sa`osicy <br />the reason for the removal. The main reason far the change xaa a n-anpowar <br />situation and also the largest nua~r of calls received have been for the east <br />end of North Olmsted; the boundary breakdown of east end is Portex Rd. and East. <br />Hopefully the situation has bean reaolYecl to all concerned. Police Chief Hird and the safety forces are hell aware <br />of the problem as it exists and every effort is being arcade to solve the situation; <br />4) at last Council Meeting requested Safety Director Carnahan to lack into a <br />situation in the Pine School area where a juvenile problem existed. Rave been <br />informed that this particular area is being patrolled by our Police twice a day. <br />Sopefully this will deter the fuveniles from congregating in this particular area; <br />5) Mrs. Sharpe stated for record purposes: Is requesting that Building Ccmamisaioner <br />Gundy check out the old Standard 011 Gas Station on corner of Whitethorn & Lorain, <br />which property, she is inforaed by Mr. Gututy, is awned by Weiss Bros. Z~are is a <br />large hole on the premises apparently caused by the sinking of the ground where <br />the gas pumps were; also the guard rail on the property is in a bad state of repair. <br />Both these conditions are a safoty hazard. Wishes to bring to t3se attention of <br />Council that the Weiss Bros. awn the property (the old car wash) on the corner <br />of Bailey & Lorain. They have been cit~sd on numerous occasions to clean up the <br />property -latest letter was sent aut on November 6, 1474, and they have 10 days <br />to conform and clean up that particular building.
