No. 74-223 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 74-124 waa introduced by Ifr. Wilamosky. ~ Ordinance approving <br />the editing and inclusion of Part Three (Traffic Code) of the Codified Ordinances <br />of the City of North Olmsted, tlhio. Mr. Wilamoskq awed for saspewion of rule <br />requiring three separate rengs, ,sfa by Mfrs. S#earpe. Affrartive vote: <br />Giesaer, Coggin, Limpert, Sarngsr, Sharpe, Witst, Wilaaosky. Mr. Wilascrsky moved <br />for adoption, seconded by l~rs. :+*ps. Affirmative vote: Giesssr, Ga~gin, LimQsrt, <br />Saringez, Sharpe, West, Wilaosky. Motion carried. Ord. No. 74-124 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 74-125 was introduced by Mr. West and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution of intent on the part of the City of Borth Opted to mrics participating <br />funds available for a Fedsra2 Gracet for the purchwe of buses, sand dec3.arng an <br />emergency. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mrs. Saringer referred to report of Mr. West - Chairceaa Transportation Coarai.ttee, <br />and report did not mention several things requested bq her acid did not get any <br />answer bads. One was a flashing light in vicinity of Maple Sol on Cl.agfue. <br />Mrs. Beringer has been bra:shed bq a spokesarazt for Maple PTA. This was brought <br />ug before Council went on vacation aced wc+ndars if C~ittse ever c~scked into it <br />and what was the outcome. Regwrst was brought up earlq so that by ties time school <br />started soneething would be done.. They felt there was not ensue protection at <br />that crossing because of the aunt of traffic and requested a ih.asher light be <br />gut up. Mr. Hest said this was not discussed -this will be brought up at neat <br />Transportation Committee Meeting. St. Brendan's light was approved and is being <br />installed. <br />Mrs. Beringer referred to legislation in Special Committee on Zoning regarding <br />6 ft. fences surrounding ia-grouecd swmrtiag pools, and asked what action has <br />been taken. Mr. Giesaer stated this was in his Committee. Cossettes discussed <br />it and axe preparing a nurNber of ~ s in zoning and is having a meeting with <br />Mr. Gandy, Building Commissioner. This will be included. <br />Mrs. Saringer stated she had asked the Transportation Coaautttee to check ot~ <br />situation on l~farion and West 233 St. People have requested stop signs. Mrs. <br />Saringer has received a petition with 33 signatures for stop signs on West 233 St. <br />and Marion. Feels a check with Police Dspt. in regard to corplaints on speeding <br />will substantiate their complaint to want a stop sign. Mrs. 5arinfper requested <br />legislation for a stop sign on Marlon b West 233 St. <br />Mr. Wilamosky referred to Council Meeting of April 15, 1974 at which he spoke <br />about street resurfacing prograce and the increased cost of materials. 2fe requested <br />the Finance Committee at that time to review the balance of ap}+ropriatio~ to sae <br />if there were some funds that could be used to purchase additional mates'iala to <br />resurface streets or an additional Hasher of streets. Asked if the Fiwce tettee <br />reviewed same and if there is anq additional funds that could be wad far this <br />purpose. Mr. Lampert stated at the present time there are no additional fuctds <br />available. This is one of the reasons for the Finance Comsittee Meeting on <br />September 5, 1974, with the Finance Director to ga over the budget and see where <br />we stand at this time. <br /> <br />
