Council Minutes of 3-~-74 -3- <br />Mr. Giesser, Chairman Recreation, Public Parks & Building Committee reported <br />Recreation Committee met at a special meeting on March 2nd with City Officials <br />and Flanning Commission to discuss the Recreational Complex. Also in attendance <br />were financial people who drew up financial report and Mr. Foster. Number of <br />financial pxoblems were discussed and Nate pretty well taken care of. On March <br />9th Committee gill take trip to Hrookpark Recreational Ca~aplex. All Councilmen <br />are invited. WiII meet at 10:30 a.m., City Hall. <br />Mr. Giesser read letter he received from North Olmsted Chaffer of Commerce <br />stating their support of the concept of a recreation complex in principle <br />and fuxther stating they would like to see this accomplished as soon as possible. <br />Council in receipt of copy of letter. <br />Mr. Giesser scheduled a B. Z. ~ D. Committee Meeting on March 13, 1974, 7:00 p.m., <br />City Ha11. <br />Mr. Limpert, Chairman Finarce Committee, reported this Committee met and discussed <br />request of Mr. Ferencik regarding sewer charge resulting from a broken water <br />meter. Information given to Commmittee was checked and Committee feels there is <br />no reason why Mr. Ferencik should not be reimbursed in sum of $29.; <br />2) Committee is working on budget, and request from Safety Forces. Committee <br />has scheduled a meeting with Police and Fire Negotiatiag Coimuittees on March 18, <br />1974. Request Clexk of Council to advise those involved. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Intra Go~ernmeatal Relations S Legislation Committee, <br />scheduled a Committee Meeting on March 7, 1974, 8:30 p.m., City Hall. <br />Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, reported this <br />Committee met and discussed application fox a new D~5 permit for Thomas Francis <br />Stack dba Toms at 4777 Great Northern Blvd. Committee has no objections to this <br />application. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Transportation Committee, stated next Transportation Committee <br />Meeting will be on March 7, 1974, 7:30 p.m., City Hall. <br />Letters, Comanmi~.atiaAS: <br />Clerk read letter fmm members of the Committee for initiative petition on Stearns <br />Rd. requesting that Council submit to a vote of the electors the ordinance set <br />forth in the initiative petition. <br />Clerk read letter from Lew Director Michael Gateau pertaining to representation <br />of indigents in Rocky River Municipal Court District with letter from Attorney <br />Jack Hildebrand. Council in receipt of copy. <br />Clerk stated she received from Clerk of Council in Rocky River copy of their <br />Res. No. 19-74, passed February 25, 1974 - reauesting municipalities within the <br />3urisdiction of Rocky P.iver Municipal Court to study the present method of <br />financing the court and to make recommendations pertaining thereto. <br />President Pro Tem Giesser referred letter from Law Director Gateau and resolution <br />received from Rocky River to Mr. iailamosky, Chairman Intra Governmental Relations <br />& Legislation Committee for study. <br />
