Minutes of Council Meeting of 2-19-74 _3_ <br />length of time petitions are required to be opan for public inspection and <br />petitions have been open for public inspection to date seven days aid will be <br />open for three more days. A Special Council Msetiag will be held c-~- Mtarday, <br />February 25, 1974, to deal with the Initiative Petition. Mr. Ffilaaic~sky i$quired <br />of Law Director Gareau the time period far petitioners who initiated the petition <br />to file statement of expenditures and if saam2 has been done. If sot, would this <br />have any effect on legality of petitions. Law Director Gareau stated there is <br />a five day period after petitions have been subffitted; and this would haws no <br />effect on legality of petitions. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Transportation Committee, reported Committee met on February <br />18, 1974, and discussed following: 1) traffic survey that Safety Director had <br />made on Dover Center Rd. arotatd Sparky Lane and Mill Road in comuction with <br />petition to remove "no left turet" sign. Save reviewed survey and will be prepared <br />to meet with people and to explain traffic situation to them; <br />2) will also have sates type of inforaa-tion on Raachview traffic light request; <br />3) Committee reviewed in detail the proposed bus line expenses and revenue for <br />year 1974 as compared to 1972 sad 1973, and reached agreement on what the ex- <br />penses will be and are now «as;.~.ag on Finance Committee so it can be determined <br />haw much the bus line can lean on the geasral fund for the year 1974; <br />4) Next Transportation Committee Meeting will be larch 7, 1974,axed at that time <br />will meet with people regarda~ traffic surv~sys. Will also review the prelim- <br />inary application for a federal $rsat sad discuss further financial situation <br />of bus line. <br />People Addressing Council: <br />The following people adressed Council and Administration regarding the Initiative <br />Petition on Stearns Road. The Initiative Petition was discussed in great detail. <br />Questions regarding same were answered by Law Director Gareau and Council and Mayor. <br />Mr. Delmar Ernest, 3014b Lorain Road <br />Mr. Joseph Corrigan, 6369 Brighton Drive <br />Mr. Richard Spaeth, 28873 Tudor Drive <br />Mr. John Fairfield, 5459 Devon Drive <br />Mr. Bill Bruton, 4577 Rew Drive <br />Mrs. Sally Russell, 58b1 Stearns Road <br />Mr. Michael Vio1i, 4520 Dower Center Road <br />Mr. 5wietyniowski, 272$4 Nantucket Drive <br />Mr. Chuck Blogna, 5197 Hampton Drive <br />Mrs. Mary Slams, 4513 Oak Circle, addressed Council regarding regulations <br />existing at a car wash - if there are a certain number of lasses for cars to <br />get in and out; do they have to have a fire lane; do theq have to have ~ <br />extra lane on one side for cars to 3eave line if necessary. Building Comamtssionex <br />Gandy discussed the regulations. <br />Mr. Joseph Corrigan, 6369 Brighton Drive, discwsed proper control by attendants <br />at car wash to relieve traffic congested situation. <br />Following people addressed Council and Administration on Recreation Center Complex: <br />Mrs. Conrad Evartoff, 4455 Camelia Lane (read letter from Mr. Evanoff} <br />Mr. Joseph Corrigan, 6369 Brighton Drive <br />Mrs. Rita Limpets, 23810 Maple Ridge Road <br />Mr. Michael Violi, 4510 Dover Center Road <br />
