<br />Wilamosky' contention now as was his contention at the meeting that the appoint-
<br />ment of Mr. Prokasy be rejected. Mr. Wila~sky explained in detail ~9 he feels
<br />this appointment should be rejected. It was concurrent among majt~rity of
<br />Committee members that the request fox approval of Mr. Prokasy be•'~ivt~ ded
<br />to Council. As Chairman of this Committee, Mr. Wilamosky will pt's a~o~ets~t

<br />At this time President 4'Neil1 referred to Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Intra Govern-

<br />residential and commercial areas,tQ,h~'kept in condition sa as not to be a
<br />detriment to surrounding areas.
<br />Mr. Giesser commented this ordinance was in his Committee last yeas; was reviewed
<br />as well as other ordinances and it was consensus of Com~oittee that they did not
<br />feel they wanted to impose such an ordinance on the residents. Mrs. 3aris:ger
<br />commented she has received the opposite opinion from her constituet:ts, who fell
<br />there should be an ordinance that would help to keep yards, etc. clued.

<br />Mr. Wilamosky reported he is already receiving calls regarding h~i~'weeds and
<br />debris in certain lots. fie is being contacted now in preparation f`or Sprit:g

<br />Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Comm~ittee~ reported
<br />following: 1) Commmittee discusset. application for a D-2 and 1~-3~ permit to
<br />Edyth and Alfred Wilchek, dba Rec~..~ox Inn, and Committee has no- 5bjecttions to
<br />this application.
<br />Mr. West, Chairman Transportation Con~d.ttee, reported Committee met on January
<br />21, 1974, and February 4, 1974: Revie~d finances of bus line in detail; 2)
<br />discussed possibility of a federal grant. Feel 16 buses should be~obtaiaed to
<br />supplement bus line. Have set in motion proced4re sad Administration is preparing
<br />preliminary application; NOACA has given Cheir sanction and legislation ~s on
<br />agenda requesting Mayor to make application for a grant for purchase of new buses;
<br />2) Committee met with bus drivers and garage employees and listened to their
<br />requests for salary and working conditions, etc. Will have subsequent meetings
<br />with them after budget has been finalised.
<br />3) Transportation Committee meeting is scheduled for February 18, 1974.
<br />Letters, Communications:
<br />Clerk read letter from Mr. R. S. Ferencik, 2419b Carla Lane, requesting Finance
<br />Committee review request for sewer chax$e because of faulty outside meter.
<br />Clerk reported that Mr. Edmond T. Ryan has filed with the Clerk this evening,
<br />February 5, 1974, 93 Initiative Petitions on the Ste,ar~ Road extension, Clerk
<br />stated she will validate the signatures.
