<br />Mr. Giessen, Mrs. Saringer, Mr, Wilamoaky and Law Director Gareau discussed at
<br />length pros and cons of the legislation regulating and establishing refuse
<br />collection.
<br />Mr. Goggin, Chairman Streets ~ Drainage Committee, reported Committee met on
<br />February I1, 1975, and in addition to Committee in attendance were Mayor and
<br />Law Director. Discussed water service agreen~nt which we received from City of
<br />Cleveland which was referred into Streets & Drainage Committee. Inasmuch as
<br />many questions were raised during the s+es~sion no final action has been taken.
<br />In process now of arranging a meeting between Committee and City Water Department;
<br />and will report back after meeting takes place;
<br />2) Mr. Goggin moved to amend the Agenda to delete Res. Nos. 75-29 through
<br />75-k7, seconded by Mx. West. Affirmative vote: Giessen, Goggin, Lampert, Saringer,
<br />Sharpe, Weat, Wilamosky. Motion carried,
<br />Mr. Giessen, Chairman Building, Zoning ~ Development Committee and Rec~rsatior_, Public
<br />Parma & Buildings, reported B.Z. & D, Cosma3,ttee met on February 11, 1975, and re-
<br />viewed following: 1) Christ the King Lutheran C'nurch final detailed plans for
<br />addition and Committee recommends same.
<br />Mr. Giessen woved to approve the parking of Christ the Ring Lutheran Church,
<br />seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote: Giessen, Goggin, Limper t, Saringer, Sharpe,
<br />West, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
<br />2) addition to Olmsted Plaza Shopping Center on Dover and Mill Rds. They have to
<br />do a replotting of the land so this will be held in abeyance;
<br />3) discussed request by residents on Bradley Rd. the possibility of rezoning
<br />part of the industrial park land back to residential; and are having a further
<br />meeting on that an February 20, 1975, at 7:30 P.M.;
<br />~+) scheduled a B.Z. & D. Committee meeting on February 20, 1975, 7:15 P,M., City
<br />Hall; and a B.Z. & U» Committee Meeting on March 6, 1975, 8:00 P.M., City Ha11.
<br />5) have received report back from Regional Planning Commission in reference to
<br />the report of the Comprehensive Plan that was submitted to them for review.
<br />Mr. Giessen read report from Regional Planning Commission. (Copy attached to
<br />original minutes)
<br />6) received this evening letter from Mr. Frank Dindia, who has comments on zoning
<br />on Lorain Rd. of property which he owns. The B.Z. & D. Committee to meet on March
<br />6th and will consider his recommendation and Mr. Dindia may attend meeting.
<br />Mr. Lampert, Chairman Finance Committee, reported Committee has been meeting with
<br />various departments within City pertaining to wage negotiations. Have nothing to
<br />report out on at this time;
<br />2) had a meeting with Mr. Pee1e pertaining to information in regard to possibility
<br />of placing millage on ballot for safety forces. Will have another meeting with Mr.
<br />Peele;
<br />3)discussion with regard to salary of our Prosecuting Attorney: Mr. Albenze, Law
<br />Director Gareau and Police Chief Hard were in attendance. From all indications
<br />Mr. Albenze is doing an outstanding fob for the City and legislation will be requested
<br />pertaining to his salary;
<br />4) also reviewed request for legislation to advertise for bids for slag, asphalt,
<br />and City insurance; and legislation for same will be requested..
