Council riinutes of 2-18-75 <br />-6- <br />Mr. Delmar Ernest, 3D106 Lorain Rd., addressed Council pertaiir- .t.o-C~iens3-ve_ _ <br />Plan and legislation 75-23. <br />Mr. Bi11 Bruton, Kew Drive, addressed Council pertaining to Butternut Ridge being <br />a county road, and maintained by City; gun control - feels any kind of gun control <br />is better than none. <br />Mrs. Gladyz Zipp, 296Sr8 Lorain Rd., addressed Council pertaining to .revisions <br />to map on resoning of Lorain Rd. and when revised map will be available. Mr. <br />Giesser discussed same. <br />Mr. John Rairfield, 5059 Devon Drive, addressed Council pertaining to Recreation <br />Center; councilmanic bonds if Rec Center is losing money. <br />Mr. Dave Hessler, East Park Drive, addressing Council pertaining to a t.v. news <br />item on Channel 3 concerning the extension of Clevesland Scpkins Airport. <br />Mrs. Barbara Hess, Ashbury Drive; addressed Council pertaining to increase in <br />safety forces; also thanked Mr. West and his group for the changes in traffic <br />pattern coming out of Great Northern Shopping Center. <br />Mrs. Gladys Zipp, 29658 Lorain Rd., addressed Council regarding relocation of <br />State Route 17; what has bean heard fxom Columbus.- Mr. Wilaaasky said he was <br />going to inform Council about meeting with Dept. of Highways, District 12. Spoke <br />with Mr. Barrack who informed him that nothing has gave dawn to Coluabus yet on <br />the Brookpark relocation.. Mr. Wilas~sky and Mrs. Saringer were infora~d that <br />District 12 i$ currently reviewing and there are some areas of the plan that was <br />submitted to them that they feel is questionable. Mr. Wilaewtsky was informed <br />that they would inform the Administration of this - probably whin next two weeks. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ord. No. 75-9 introduced by Mr. Li~apert was given its third reading. An Ordinance <br />transferring appropriations for current expenses sad other expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted, Ohio for the year ending Deer 31, 1975. Mr. Lrt <br />moved for adoption, secotxled by Mr. Went. Mr. Wilamosky referred to his discussion <br />at Council table sometime ago the $l,t~!0. that was proposed to be tr~sferred <br />from the revenue sharing which was originally designed to retire the bonds for <br />the Police Station. Does not support that sumn to be transferred - feels we should <br />attempt to reduce that bonded iadebted€~ess. Also thinks that $1,040. for auto <br />expenses is totally unreasonable. ROLL CALL ON MOTION: Affirmative vote: Giesser, <br />Goggin, Limpert, Sharpe, West. Negative vote: Saringer, Wilamosky. 5 Yeas - <br />2 Nays - Motion carried. Ord. AIo. ?5-9 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 75-10 introduced by Mr. Goggin was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution urging the Public Utilities Co~m~eission of the State of Ohio to deny <br />excessive rate increases to public utilities. Mr. Goggin moved for adoption, <br />seconded by Mr. Giesser. Mr. Wilarsoosky stated it was pointed out by Mrs. Saringer <br />that she felt this legislation may not be strong enough but Mr. Wilatsosky does <br />support this legislation -feels the P.U.C.0. should be informed that test ~unici- <br />palities are watching their actic~s. Referred to a section in liegislatiaa where <br />we are asking them to do the fob they are charged with.
