Council Minutes of 1-21-75 -6- <br />Letters, Co~nunications: <br />Clerk read communication from State R+spresentative Rocco J. Colonna to President <br />O'Neill and Council advising that the Ming with respect to the expastsion of <br />Cleveland Hopkins Airport has been c to Februsy 25, 1975, 2:00 P.M., <br />at the National Aeronautics and apace ltd~tinistration Auditorium. <br />Clerk has received petitions frost Mr. WesC to Mayor Christman with approximately <br />137 names on to retain the mini bus service. <br />Clerk has been presented with petitions with approximately 237 names on to bring <br />back the stop light on Lorain. Rd. and Whitesthorn frcmt Mr. Lampert. <br />People Addressing Council: <br />Mrs. Gladys Zipp, 29658 Lorain Rd., addressed Council regarding spicing in Council <br />Chambers and hopes Council does not vote to have smoking banned in the Chaffers. <br />Mr. Delmar Ernest, 30105 Lorain Rd., addressed Council with respect to Ord. No. <br />15-3. Mayor Christman gave explanation. <br />Mrs. John Cestaric, 4034 Winton Park Drive, addressed Council reminding Administra- <br />tion and citizens present that the City will have a special election regarding <br />a school issue for a 7.85 eontinuii--g levy for school operation. Requested everyone <br />to remind neighbors and ask them to get out and vote- explained Mere absentee <br />ballots can he obtained; gave haute for eating and urged the news amedia to stress <br />the change from Tuesday to Monday. <br />Mrs. Claudia Jaybo, 4092 Winton Park Drive, addressed Council and congratulated <br />the City for being declared a bicentennial City. <br />LEGIS?jATION: <br />Ordinance No. 74-139 introduced by Mr. Glasser was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance accepting for dedication Wesst 308th Street, North Gourt, and South <br />Court in Zehman-~lolfe-Shermatt Su~rdvisions No. 1. Mr. Giesser moved for adoption, <br />seconded by Mr. Goggin. Mr. Wil~t,sky discussed with Mr. Childs the existing <br />cul-de-sac sad the cul-de-aac refet~s~ed to in Ord. No. 75-8. Affix~-ative vote: <br />Giesser, noggin, Lampert, Beringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Nation carried. <br />Ord. No. 74-139 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 75-165 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution urging the State and Bederal Governments to take appropriate strips <br />in the establishment of a regulatory agency for the control and operation of solid <br />waste disposal plants on a regional basis, together with the establishment of the <br />appropriate financial structure of regional s©lid waste disposal plants. id's. <br />Beringer moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Lampert. Affirmative vote: Giesser, <br />Goggin, Lampert, Saringer, Sham, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Res. N©. <br />74-165 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 74-1,56 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance to provide fox proper gradztg of lasu3 to provides for the draiaage <br />of surface water within the Cite of North Olmsted as amended. Mr. Wilaatosky <br />*nved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Goggin. Affirmative vats: Giesser, Goggin, <br />Lampert, Saringer, Sharpe, Nest, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Ord. No. 74-166 <br />adopted. <br />
