Council Minutes of 1-7-75 -$- <br />Resolution No. 75-5 was introduced by Mr. Giesser and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for recording purposes only Pocos Subdivision in the <br />City of North Olsssted. <br />Resolution No. 75-7 was introduced by Mr. Giesser and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for rec©rdng purposes only the McGuiness Re-Subdivision <br />in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. ?5-8 was introduc~t by Ptr. Giesser and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance accepting a tempa~rary road right-of-sway on West 308th Street. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mr. Li~ert referred to abandoned properties, gas stations, etc. that Mrs. <br />Sharpe has been discussing. in talking to Building Ce~issianer Gandy he has <br />a suggestion: Mr. Limpert requested to be placed in Coamtitte~e Ord. No. 7k-48 <br />for review to possibly include the installation of barriers in driveways to <br />eliminate illegal use of the property etc. <br />President O'Neill referred sage to Building, Zoning & Development Committee. <br />Mrs. Saringer inquired of Service Director Caster if he has made any contacts <br />with an outside engineering firm i.n regards to study that has been disused. <br />Mx. Caster said contacts have started. to be made. Mrs. Saringer will be advised <br />when meeting is set up. <br />Mr. Wilamosky referred to signalization on Lorain Rd. and asked if the pxobletas <br />have been resolved. tsayor Christman explained all have been resolved except two. <br />Master sigYtal is sending notice to the othex signals with the exception of <br />David Drive and Coluabia Rd. when to stay in sequence. There are sosie adjustments <br />being made on the preferable eastboua+d - preferable westbouand and neutral times. <br />Within the past week the traffic congestion has lessened. They are adjusting the <br />overall program and work into the best sequence thep can. Mr. Wilaa+osky referred <br />to his personal experience in area east of Canterbury Rd. in w~ssterly direction - <br />traffic has increased tr dourly and back log and wondered if the Safety Dept. <br />would look into it. Mayor said this is part of the adjustment that is being <br />made. Discussion continued. <br />Nlrs. Saringer said she has received some complaints regarding the light at Clague <br />& Lorain - backup of traffic on Clague. Wondered if that could be checked again. <br />Safety Director Carnahan stated he spent 3 hours down there today observing in <br />the morning and in evening and did not see anymore than 8 or 9 cars backup at <br />anytime. Safety Director Carnahan also stated that tomorrow ws plan ~ the <br />opening of the west driveway at the Great Northers Shopping Genter and closing <br />the exist lows - only for right turn. <br />Mr. Goggia stated he received several complaints from Cdturch goers on Sunday <br />regarding the Whitethorn Drive absence of a traffic signal; and the Pastor of <br />St. Richard's Church has asked Mr. (3oggin to gars along to the Safsity Directox <br />his concern for his Parish attd trusts that adequate police suxili,~eriem will be <br />~' provided on the street at the close of each Musa eat Satwrday night +i~ payee <br />especially. Mr. Carnahan has again spokettto the Captain and ~ has. eed <br />next Sunday it will come to pass.
