Council Minutes of 1221-76 _3_ <br />Mr. West, a member of the Transportation Committee,-reported ~CommiLtee rcconrmmends <br />Res. No. 76-190 be passed under suspension of rules this evening which authorizes <br />the Mayor to make application and enter into a contract with the Ohio Dept. of <br />Transportation for an Ohio Mass Transportation Cagital Assistance Grant and it is <br />felt prompt action is needed for all concerned. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Environmental Control Committee, reported: 1) requests the <br />Clerk of Council in accordance with agxeement with residents of Forest Ridge <br />Assn. at the public hearing, to write a letter to the President of the Association <br />confirming what City Engineer Childs reported;.i.e., they had discussed with the <br />City of Westlake the ditch which runs to the north of this subdivision and it has <br />been agreed by our Service Department that the cleaning of this ditch will be <br />scheduled dust as soon as the manpower is available and the people will be so <br />advised when this is accomplished; <br />2) as a matter of record there was a gublic hearing on December 11th to listen <br />to comments from various residents with respect to ra~.sing the sewer rates - there <br />were approximately 50 residents in attendance. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Ms. Leah Nowlen, 567b Allendale Dr., presented to Council name and address of <br />Board Member of RTA who may be of help in solving problems discussed previously <br />by Mrs. Saringer and the Transportation Committee. <br />Mr. John Maloney, President of Park West Homeowners Assn., thanked Council and <br />Administration for taking their petition under advisement. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />President Limpert explained to audience why Res. Nos. 76-164 and 165 are being <br />held from third reading. <br />Ordinance No. 76-144 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance establishing a new Chapter 1217 entitled "Architectural Review Board" <br />of the Zoning Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted. Mrs. Sharpe moved for <br />adoption, seconded by Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative vote: $oehmer, Saringer, Sharpe, <br />West, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Ord. No. 76-144 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 76-145 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 1173.02 entitled "Permitted Buildings and Uses" of <br />Chapter 1173 entitled "General Retail Business District" of the Zoning Ordinances <br />of the City of North Olmsted, as amended. Mrs. Sharpe moved for adoption, seconded <br />by Mx. West. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion <br />carried. Ord. No. 76-145 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 76-163 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the payment of a total of Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) <br />to various property owners as a moral claim involving the City of North Olmsted. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, seconded by Mrs. Sharpe. Affirmative vote: <br />Boehmer, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Ord. No. 76-163 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 76-166 introduced by Mr. West was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />two vehicles to be used at the Treatment Plant and authorizing the Mayor to contract <br />fvr same. Mr. West moved for adoption, seconded by Mr, Wilamosky. Affirmative <br />vote: Boehmer, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Res. No. <br />76-166 adopted. <br />
