Council Minutes of 9-7-76 _9_ Resolution No. 76-132 wan introduced by Mr. West. A Resolution authorising the Director of Public Service to a~rartisa for bids for chemieals for use in the Sewage Treatment Plant. Mr. Wilt moved for sw~nsion of rule requiring three separate readings, seconded by Mr. Wilamasky. Affirmative orate: Beaty, Boehmer, Gogg~n, Saringer, West, Wilaaosky. Mr. West moved for adoption, seconder by Mr. Wilamosky. Affirssit3ve vote: Beaty, Boebser, Goggin, Saringer, West, Wilamosky. Notion carried. 'Ras. No. 76-132 adapted. Ordinance No. 76-133 was introduced by Nr. Wilamosky and placed on first reading. An Ordinance transferring rapriatio+as and ma'kiag additional appropriations for current expanses and other #ures for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, for the year ending Deceeber 31, 1976. Service Director Caster racom~ded Ord. No. 76-133 be placed on susp+~sion of rules for Treatment Plant funds, as those items are critical. Nr. Wil~ry and Mr. West quaationed the relationship of Bee. No. 76-132 and Ord. No. 76-133 with respect to chemicals. Mr. Caster explained the $50,000 are for chatefcals that we have contracts for but which cannot be used without the appropriation; which will carry for the balance of the year of what we are committed to right now. Res. No. 76-132 will authorize for additional bids. Discussion ensued, as to chemicals that are needed imaediatelq and advertising for new chemicals. Mr. Wilamosky withdrew his placing of Ord. No. 76-133 on first reading. Mrs. Saringer stated she expected legislation in regard to extra money for resurfacing of Clifford Drive and expected it to be in this appropriation ordinance and Lei:stand the Law Director did not get the information. Mr. Wilamosky stated he has information pertinent to this and will take it up under new or old busraas. Nr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three separate read, saconde~ by Mr. West. Motion carried. Ord, No. 76-133 adapted. Ordinance No. 76-134 was introduced by Nr. Boehmer and given its first reading. An Ordinance establishing proce~dura for the disposition of property in the custody of the Police Department which has been last, abandoned, misplaced, stolen, lawfully seised, or forfeited. Ordinance No. 76-135 was introduced by Mrs. Saringer and given its first reading. An Ordinance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the City of t63rth Olmsted to provide for the installation of stop signs at the "T" intererecton of Cedarawod Drive and Brendan Lane. President Lampert referred same into Transportation Committee. Mrs. Saringer stated she has received requests from people in the area that .this is needed because of the new subdivision, etc., as to right of way. Ordinance No. 76-136 was introduced by Mrs. Saringer and given its first reading. An Ordinance accepting an easement for the installation and msintasence of a water main for the purpose of su;aplying water service by the City of Cleveland to the City Line Estates Subdivision from the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company. Mr. Wilamosky asked if this has bean in Committee atxl if the Committee determined whether or not the existing water line on Barton Rd. is of sufficient size to maintain a resaonably good level of water pressure with the concept of the development of City Line Subdivision. Mrs. Saringer stated it has been in Committee and Mr. Childs stated the whole purpose of this movement was to connect the existing 8" water male on Barton Rd, with the existing 8" water main on Westminster Drive - this was at tt~ recommendation of the City of Clavelaaxd Water Dept. and it does serve to boost the pressure and flow and explained what it does.
