President <br />Pro Tem Saringer referred sage to Environmental Control Committee. <br />People Addressing Council: <br />Mr. Don Therenis, 24046 Frank Street, addressed Council, congratulating them on <br />their move to upgrade the Fire equipment and spoke in support of two squads. <br />Lengthy discussion ensued. <br />Mr. Jerry Eakins, 4605 Porter Rd., addressed Council in support of two squads <br />for the Commwnity and explained reasons therefor. Mr. Eakins is a North Olssted <br />Firefighter. Lengthy discussion ensued. <br />Mr. James Grandey, 5794 Burns Rd., addressed Council on following: 1) congratulated <br />all on report of Rec Complex and progress being made; left turn signal sign at <br />entrance to Great Northern Shopping Center; our curfew ordinance and paysalty; <br />weeds and high grass on parcel on Burns Rd.; using a U. of A. law student axsd <br />its benefits to the student; reason why he believes the levy for safety forces <br />failed last gear. All subjects were discussed. <br />Mrs. Mary Slaw, 4512 Oak Circle, addressed the Mayor on projected figures of <br />Rec Center; also discussed problems in enfr~rcing the curfew. Discussion cosstiuued. <br />Mr. Wilbur Grentaer, 5656 Whitehaven Drive, addressed Council with respect to <br />problems encountered in Garden City area by moving of houses puraeed by State <br />and up for auction ; and many are soya-confoxming, and variasscea berg ~u~t. <br />Would like to have neighborhood devaloped to full potential of the Code and <br />referred to legislation to be introduced tonight that will afford lose protection. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />~,.~~aw..,~., <br />
