Council Minutes of 3-2-76 <br />-6- <br />Mrs. Rita Limpert, 23810 Maple Ridge Rd., addressed Council pertaininS to <br />drainage ditch on south side of Clague Rd. Discussion ensued. <br />Mr. John Fairfield, 5059 Devon Drive, addressed Council and Administration <br />with respect to the proposed budget and gave suggestions. Discussion ensued. <br />Mrs. Tolczeki, 3325 West 231 St., addressed Council pertainia$ to the <br />Barclay Square Development and if any provisions have been made with <br />respect to a fence. Discussion ensued. <br />Mr. John Tolczeki, 3325 West 231 St., addressed .Council pertaining to <br />drainage systems. Discussion ensued. <br />Mr. Joseph Corrigan, 6369 Brighton Drive, addressed Council with respect to <br />the proposed budget; municipal deficit; proposed reduction of tax credit, and <br />offered his suggestions. <br />Mrs. Mary Slams. 4512 Oak Circle, addressed Council and Mayor Christman regarding <br />whether or not Mayor Christswtn has heard from Mayor Roman on the proposed <br />repair of the ditches along Clsgue Rd. Mayor discussed same. <br />Mx. Robert Swietyniowski, 27284 Nantucket Drive, addressed Council referring <br />to his previous request to check into the light at corner of Butternut Ridge <br />& Porter Rd. to delay the red far Butternut Ridge going west onto Lorain Rd. <br />and explained the problem that exists. Mr. West discussed same. President <br />Limpert referred request to Mr. Beaty, Chairman Transportation Com~rttee. <br />Mr. Wilamosky asked Safety Director Carnahan if the overall signalisation <br />has been completed or is this particular problem still a part of that project. <br />Safety Director Carnahan stated the project has been finished and it just needs <br />a little more fine tuning. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 76-14 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution objecting to water rates being charged suburbs by the Cleveland <br />Water Department, and declsring an emergency. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, <br />seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Coggin, Saringer, Sharpe, <br />West, Wilamosky. Motion csrried. Res. No. 76-14 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 76-15 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance authori$ing Special Counsel far the City of Wirth Opted to enter <br />it-to a Consent Decree for and on behalf of the City of North Olmsted and the <br />various public officials named ss defendants in the case of Needles vs. Christman <br />et al, Case No. C73-105$ in the united States District Court for the Northern <br />District of Ohio, Eastern Division and declaring an emergency. Mrs. Sharpe <br />moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. meaty. Affirmative vote: 'Beaty, Coggin, <br />Sharpe, Wilamoskq. Abstained: Boehmer, Saringer, West. Motion carried. Ord. <br />No. 76-15 adopted. President Lampert explained the reason why three 1Ksmmers of <br />Council abstained: - these Mss~bers of Council were involved in the iswsuit and <br />therefore it would be a conflict of interest to vote on same. <br />Resolution No. 76-17 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for recording purposes only the Charles Faletta Subdivision <br />in the City of North Olmsted. Mrs. Sharpe moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. <br />Beaty. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmex, Coggin, Saringer, Sharpe, West, <br />Wilamosky. Motion carried. Rees. No. 76-17 adopted. <br /> <br />
