Council Minutes of 9-::-•`'' -3- <br />August 13th to discuss the new ~•ates for •thE Bation Center Complex and basically <br />the rates that were discussed sera permanent gees rates for skating, swfmrng and <br />far the entire Complex outside of tennis: Tried to establish rates that will be <br />attractive to users of the facility: want to make it attractive to families and <br />single users: also made a resident fee that was lass expensive thaw the non-resident <br />fee. In most cases did not raise the rates but lowered t~ for the resident and <br />in one case in the swinosoing area la~rared it for the non-resid:nt also. Thinks with <br />this the Recreation Complex will have an opportunity to sell these passes: are <br />printing literature that will gfl to hopefully every bows in North Olmsted and <br />surrounding areas where it is felt we might attract people to our Coe~lex. Feels <br />everyone should support this effort, etc. Makers of the Committee supports this <br />legislation. Ia attendance at the eeseting on August 13th were 1~. Bs~shmer, Mr. <br />West, Mr. Barkhurst, Mr. Swietyniowski, Mr. Knharik, Mr. Broader and Mr. Fairfield. <br />Mr. West stated the majority of the Comebi.ssion was there and they also agprovsd <br />the rates. <br />Mr. Wilamosky discussed with Mr. Fairfield and Mr. West Section F of Ord. No. <br />77-148 wh~.ch establishes the method by which fees for the Recreation Center are <br />to be fixc.~~r, specifically the terminology "groups having a special interest in <br />the Complex facilities who as a group project undertake to sell yearly passes." <br />Lengthy discussion ensued and Safety Director Koharik gave an example of what a <br />special interest group would be. <br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee and Intro Govern- <br />mental Relations & Legislation Committee, reported Safety Committee east and <br />discussed application for a D--1 permit to Michael Santosuosso dba Santos, 26361 <br />Brookpark Road, an~_Comnittee has no objections: <br />Mr. Boehmer moved Council does not object to the application for a D-1 permit <br />to Michael Santosuosso dba Santos, 26361 Brookpark Road, seconded by Mr. West. <br />Affirmative vote: Boehmex, Fairfield, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion <br />carried. <br />2) Res. No. 77-138 is on second reading tonight - advertising for bide to repair <br />the roof of the Municipal Garage, and will be requesting suspension of rules <br />requiring three separate readings; <br />3) scheduled a Safety Committee Meeting for September 13, 1977, 7:00 P.M., City Hall. <br />4) Mr. Boehmer moved Council approve the appointment of Mr. Raymond Ackley, <br />28521 Willet Circle, to the Board of Zoning Appeals for an unexpired term ending <br />December 31, 1979, seconded by Mr. Fairfield. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Fairfield, <br />Beringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Finance Committee and Long Range Planning Committee, <br />reported Committee met and discussed following: 1) request of Mayor to increase <br />the appropriations for organization and travel for the Safety Director from $150. <br />to $450. and Committee has nfl objections; <br />2) request of Mayor to increase his own organization and travel appropriation from <br />current $350. to $50©. and Committee has no objections. Finance Director has bees <br />advised and is preparing the necessary appropriation trsnsfer ordinance; <br />3) Safety Director has requested Committee review a transfer of $5130. from Folice <br />Department line item Equipment Repair to Police Department line item $erox Copy <br />Fund.
