At a Social Council Meeting on August 1st <br />Council approved the improv~t plans pf the U-Store-It Co~aaay at 24004 Lorain Ad. <br />pending sewer to be installed to Lessner &1. and ditch rep).aced with pipe; <br />2)Committee discussed Seller Resubdivisian - the creation ©~ owe Iat from two <br />existing lots and Committee bad no objections. At the Spacial Cotmcil Meeting <br />on Augus*_ Ist Council approved for r3cordiag purposes only the Yt+~ller Resubdivision <br />under suspension of rules requiring three s~arate readings; <br />3) Commmittee discussed Vilicka Consolidation Plat - combining two s~xisting lots <br />into a single Class B residential lot on the east side of Decker Rd. Coas~ittee <br />has no objections and request legislation for same; <br />4) Committee briefly discussed the Beings Court Colony Subdivision, consisting of <br />35 Class A residential lots plus 5.8 scree recreation area located nest of <br />Canterbury Rd. south of Butternut Ridge Rct,: would like to discuss this further <br />in Coa~ittee; <br />5) scheduled a B. Z. & D. Committee Meeting for Segte~er 12, 1977, 7:30 P.M., <br />city sell. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Environmental Control Co®ittee, reported Caaeittee met on <br />August 23rd, sad discussed following items: 1) asking for seplacssszat of the <br />engine of~the lugger truck at the Treatment Plant as Finance Committee has already <br />reported on; <br />2) Tree planting: Committee had recommended last Spring that ae replace all of <br />the trees because we have just been doing it piece a-eal and never seem to come to <br />an end. The Service Director infarseed the Cospnittee his list ins almost complete: <br />we have heard from many of the subdivisions. In addition, they have taken a <br />street by street surveq to make an effort this time to locate all of the txees <br />that need to be xeplaced. As soon as this Committee receives list from Service <br />Director Committee will ase that it gets to each member of Caut~cil. Will need <br />to discuss it and make sure we are getting this dame like Council asked that it be <br />done; <br />3)discussed Ord. No. 77-126 -the noise ordinance - Committee recommends that <br />this ordinance be deferred and have asked the Safety Director to attempt to come <br />up with a noise ordinance that is sia~ler and one that dovetails into the <br />ordinance we already have on the air conditioning waits outside. It is the <br />feeling of the Committee that this particular ordinance is too cam~-licated for <br />the ordinary person when qou r r the ordinary resident has to understand <br />this in order to know whether he is violating the law. Mr. West referred to the <br />definition of the term "decibel" which is all throughout the ordinance, and is <br />defined as "means a unit for measuring the volume of a sound, equal to 20 times <br />the logarithm to the base l0 of the ratio of the pressure of the sound measured <br />to the reference pressure, which is 20 micropascals {20 mieronewtans per square <br />meter).
