Council Minutes of 7-1977 -4- 2) Legislation Committee reviewed proposals to publish 200-sets of replac pages to the Codified Ordinances end renomnended Justinian Publisl~ing...Compa+ny; the lower of the two proposals; 3) very happy the City has found money to hire three additional policemen and three firemen and would like Council to go on record as having ao abjectioas. Mr. Boehmer moved Council concur is the addition of three policemen and three firemen, seconded by Mr. Beaty. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Fairfield, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Finance Committee, and Long Range Planning Committee, reported: 1) Committee has no objection to advertising for bids for chlorine to be used at Treatment Plant and because of Council vacation next month, will be requesting suspension of rule requiring three separate readings oa Ord. No. 77-140 tonight; 2) Committee also supports the efforts of the Administration and other Members of Council is working and striving far unity in the possibility of hiring additional personnel for the Police Department and Fire Department. The Coseittae wholeheartedly supports this and will do whatever is necessary to fulfill the Finance Cosseittee's responsbility in reviewing with the Administration and the Finance Department the areas where those funds for the additional policemen and firemen will be transferred from. Mra. Sharpe, Chairman Building, Zoning & Development Committee, reported Committee met on July 12th, with Attorney Allan, representing the Gibson Partners, Safety Director Roharik, Law Director Gateau and representatives of Raachvrw area. The meeting was called strictly to discuss the Tallwood Subdivision. The Co~am.ttee, the attorney for Gibson Partners sad the residents of Ranchview have all agreed that there will not be a thru street cosascting Tallwood Subdivision end Raachview Drive: that there will be as access only to be used by the Safety arts+ents end the area will be used as a park area. Attorney Allen and Law Director Gateau were to met and finalize the pleas and Law Director Gateau will then proceed with legislation. Now awaiting the results of that meeting and will report on the outcome at a later date; 2) will be requesting suspension of the rule requiring three separate readings on Ord. No. 77-130 and Res. No. 77-139 tonight. ~.etters, Co~uvnicatioas Clerk read letter from Mr. Frank E. Pinkham, 5595 Barton Rd., an open letter to Council Members regarding the interpretation of the Building Code. Mrs. Saringer stated she has received a couple of pieces of correspondence from residents with respect to the legislation concerning noise levels and the constituents would like to see the legislation out of Com®i.ttee and working for the people. Mrs. Saringer asked if President Limpert would notify Mr. West and request a Coom-ittee meeting while Council is on vacation so this legislation might possibly be acted on at a Special Meeting or at our first meeting in September. President Limpert will do same. People addressing Council: Mr. Robert Swietyniowski, 272$4 Nantucket Drive, read and presented to Council a letter requesting"the Council submit the initiative petition regarding the sanitary sewerage system charges to the electors of North Olmsted for their approval or rejection at the regular election to be held on November 8, 1977. ~.~
