<br />Motion carried.
<br />2) discussed appointment of Mr. Pat Patton, 5551 Decker Rd., to the Landmarks
<br />Commission, term expiring 12/31/77.
<br />Mr. Boehmer moved Council approve the appointment of Mr. Pat Patton to the
<br />Landmarks Comm3.~i3iOn, seconded by Mrs. Beringer. Affirmative vote: Boehmer,
<br />Fairfield, 5aringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
<br />3) Committee discussed legislation with respect to the PBX/Receptionist position
<br />and Committee had no objections;
<br />4) President Lampert referred to correspondence regarding the appointment of
<br />Mrs. Betty Lord to the Landmarks Commission. Mr. Boehmer stated he remembers
<br />same but did not have it with him at the meeting.
<br />5) Mr. Boehmer moved Council approve the appointment of Mrs. Betty Lord to the
<br />Landmarks Commission, term expiring 12/31/77, seconded by Mr. Fairfield. Affirmative
<br />vote: Boehmer, Fairfield, Beringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
<br />Mx. Wilamosky, Chairman Finance Committee, and Long Range Planning Committee,
<br />reported: 1) Ord. No. 77-120 on agenda tonight and suspension of the rules will
<br />be requested in amount of $3,080.04 for emergency repairs to one of our packer
<br />trucks. At the time it was necessary to reapir it as rapidly as possible because
<br />of the emergency nature. The repairs were made without advertising for bids and
<br />due to the emergency nature Committee recommends adoption of Ord. No. 77-120;
<br />2) Ord. No. 77-125 on agenda and calls for payment of $2,700. for emergency
<br />repairs of a storm Sewer system within right of way of Ranchview.
<br />Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman Building, Zoning & Development Committee, reported B. Z. & D.
<br />Committee met on June 15th: also in attendance were Safety Director Koharik,
<br />Police Chief Taylor, Lt. Van Buren of the Fire Department, Law Director Gareau,
<br />City Engineer Childs, Mr. Boehmer, Mr• Lampert and residents of Ranchview.
<br />Under discussion was the controversy over the proposed connecting street between
<br />the north end of Ranchview and 'Paa.lwood Drive. In the interim have received
<br />correspondence from Mr. Childs with five ma3or altexnatives resolving this
<br />controversy. Before Council meeting this evening, Council met with Mr. Allen
<br />and Mr. Gettling, representing Gibson Partners, and they presented a sixth alternative
<br />which was to deed the connecting street to the City and eliminate the traffic of
<br />Tallwood Subdivision onto Ranchview; and this is the alternative that we are going
<br />to proceed. Mr. Sharpe will be in contact with the residents of Ranchview but more
<br />planning will go into this before it is finalized;
<br />2) had a meeting scheduled with Mr. Gibson on June 29th which meeting will be
<br />cancelled;
<br />3) scheduled a B. Z. & D. Committee Meeting on June 29, 1977, 7:15 P.M., City Hall.
<br />Mr. West, Chairman Environmental Control Committee, reported Committee met on
<br />June 20th and discussed following items: ~.) Ord. No. 77-101 which calls for a
<br />limitation of phosphorous by weight in detergents or washing powder, etc. and
<br />Committee went through same in great detail,. Mr. Childs had gathered considerable
<br />information and research work on this particular subject. Thinks we a21 need to
<br />understand that in our plant we do take out the phosphate to the acceptable limit
<br />
