Council Minutes of 6-1i-7 -9- <br />Ordinance No. 77-123 was introduced by Mi: Wilamosky-and given tts firat.zesdin8- <br />An Ordinance authcrizing axed directing the caiecQllation of special asaessmen.ts <br />on certain permanent parcels and declaring an emsrg~ency. <br />Ordinance No. 77-124 was introduced by Mrs. Sherpa and give:. ~t~n fs.=at reading. <br />An Ordinance accepting for dedication Jeakias Road, 5S9 feet, located in Jenkins <br />Road Subdivision in the City of North Olmsted. President Lampert referred same <br />into B.Z.& D. Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 77-125 was introduced by Mr. Wilamoskq and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the payment of $2,700. to Shore West Construction Company <br />for emergency repairs of a storm sewer system located within the right-of way of <br />R.anchview Avenue in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 77-12G was introduced by Mrs. Saringer and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance to enact new Chapter 555 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of North Oleested relating to noise and the control thereof. <br />Mr. West commented he does not know where this ordinance cease from but in reading <br />through it, this is really a restrictive ordinance: thinks Council should give a <br />lot of thoug?:t to it in reading it over: it almost restricts you on anything you <br />can do in the City and he feels that it borders on the dangerous in some areas: <br />would like to make sure everybody takes a real hard look at it. Mrs. Saringer <br />stated for quite sometime there have been certain things that arise where we do <br />not have anything in our ordinances to cover same in regard to noise: had conferred <br />with the Prosecutor last year with respect to coming up with some type of an <br />ordinance and this is what instigated it: we do not have anything for certain <br />occasions to cite people on: as far as equipment - we have a decibel reader: it <br />is not necessary to have an experienced person or engineer to operate the equipment: <br />spoke to Lakewood's Police Chief and Building Commissioner and was infor~red that <br />the Building Department and the Pollee Department cooperatively work in enforcing <br />the ordinance; our Building Commissioner Gundy said he does have the equipment <br />and can operate it: if the occasion arises we will have the ordinance; and noise <br />is a big contributor to the safety, health and welfare of the people - if you listen <br />to it long enough it can be dangerous to gear health, etc. <br />President Lampert referred same into Environaaental Control Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 77-I27 was introduced by Mrs. Sharpe and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance amending the Zoning Cade of the City of North Olmsted by adopting a <br />revised Chapter 1157, entitled "Lot Area Requirements in Residence Districts" and <br />repealing Chapter 1157 as previously adopted. President Lampert referred same to <br />Planning Commission. <br />Ordinance No. 77-1Z8 was introduced by Mrs. Sharpe and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance amending Section 1151.04 entitled "Accessary Uses in aqy Residence <br />District" of Chapter 1151 entitled "Use Restrictions" of the Zoning Code of the <br />City of North Olmsted. President Lampert referred same into Planning Commission. <br />Ordinance No. 77-129 was introduced by Mrs. Sharpe and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance amending Section 1133.14 entitled "Finality of Board Order" of <br />Chapter 1133 entitled "Board of Zoning Appeals" of the Zoning Code of the City <br />of North Olmsted. President Lampert referred same to Planning Commission. <br /> <br />
