Council Minutes ox 5-17-77 '~+' <br />evening coat figures that Committee requested at last Council Meeting: Mr. <br />Wilamosky scheduled a Finance Committee Meeting for May 23, 1977, 7:45 P.M., <br />City Hall, and requested the Mayor, Finance Director Gerlach and Service Director <br />Caster to be fa attendance. <br />Zn absence of Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman Building, Zoning & Deveiopsant Committee, <br />Mr. Fairfield gave following report of B. Z. b D. Cores#.ttee regarding special <br />permits granted by the Board of Zoning Deals at tt~ir May 4th seating: <br />1) Special permit granted by the Board to Arthur R. Apslons, 5159 Dewey Rd. to <br />building addition to nonconfosming dulling; <br />2) Special permit granted by the Board to Columbia Road Baptist Church, 4116 <br />Columbia Rd., for building addition; <br />3) Special permit granted by the Board to Ronald A. a~ul Shirley M. Plocica, <br />23545 Alexander Rd., to build addition to nonconforming dwelling; <br />Mr.Fs-irffeld maned Council approvrapaeial permits granted by the Board of Zoning <br />Appeals to Mr. Arthur R. Apelons, Colu~ia Road Baptist Church and Ronald and <br />Shirley Plocica, so that the people can begin construction. Motu seconded by <br />Mrs. Saringer. Affirmative vote: Boehser, Fairfield, Saringer, West, Wilamosky. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Environmental Control Conenittee, reported Committee has reviewed <br />the Section 4(f) Draft Statasant oa the small section of recreation lam near Spruee <br />School in the right of way of 14$f1, and as requested in this report that they <br />receive any cosmtents that we sight have on it no later than June 14, 1977, the <br />Environmental Control Committee is recaoasending that Council advise the Ohio <br />Transportation Department that ws concur in the re Lions included in this <br />report and Mr. West will read same under Old Business and make a motion. <br />Letters, Conmaunications: <br />Clerk read communication from Mrs. Virginia Hodgins, Recording Secretary to Board <br />of Zoning Appeals directing attention of Council to Items 9, 11, and 13 of Board <br />Meeting of May 4th. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. Paul Farkas, 4506 Columbia Rd., addressed Council regarding senior citizen <br />groups using the Community Cabin free of charge once a month. <br />Mrs. Gladys Zipp, 29658 Lorain Rd., addressed Council regarding fire Station f2 <br />and when same is to be manned. <br />Mr. Delmar Ernest, 30106 Lorain Rd., addressed Council regaxding senior citizens; <br />also when the City is going to get moving on subsidized housing for the elderly. <br />Lengthy discussion ensued. <br />Mr. James Grandey, 5794 Burns Rd., addressed Council regarding the proposal by <br />Lutheran Association for senior citizens. <br />Mr. Joseph Corrigan, 6359 Brighton Drive, addressed Council regarding the upcoming <br />meeting of Recreation Committee, Recreation Commission, etc. and discussed the <br />financial condition of the Rec Complex. Lengthy discussion ensued. <br />Mr. Adam Sukalski, 4480 Coluabis Rd., addressed Council regarding chuckholes <br />in front of his driveway; also a camera being, run through the sewer for examining <br />the sanitary sewers and there is a sewex crack in front of his home.
