<br />3) the Police Department, on the basis of complaints with reference to trucks on the
<br />I-480 Pxo~ect, has briefed all manpower in the department appraising them of the fact
<br />that anq trucks which are not observing the "haul roads" so designated by the State
<br />are in violation of our ordinance and will be cited.
<br />4) Chief Bearent of the North Olmsted Fire Departt is in the process of assigning
<br />an officer to research and study radioactive materials which may be a potential
<br />danger at the scene of an accident or spill. The potential is there with I-480 coming
<br />through and plan to have this officer trained in the use of radiation detectors.
<br />Hopefully, this program will be offered to us through the Ohio Department of Civil
<br />Defense.
<br />5) recently received the agreement from the Zayre-Rini organization For review with
<br />reference to the traffic tight by the North Olmsted Recreation Complex and their
<br />newly proposed drive. Expect to meet in the near future with a view of ironing out
<br />certain aspects of the agreement.
<br />Mrs. Saringer, Chairman of Streets and Drainage Committee reported: 1) committee met
<br />on December 12th and discussed Resolution No. 78-167 which is on second reading, this
<br />evening. Committee has no objection. Will be asking for suspension of the rule re-
<br />quiring three readings so this can be acted on before the end of the year.
<br />Mrs. Petrigac, Chairman of Environmental Control Committee reported: 1) committee met
<br />on December 13th with all members present as well as various Members of Council,
<br />Pir. Crider, City Engineer Zurawski, and B111 Moss from Dalton, Dalton. Committee dis-
<br />cussed Ordinance :Vos. 78-175, 78-176, and 78-180, all of which era on second reading
<br />tonight and authorize the City of North Olmsted to enter into various agreements.
<br />Committee has no objection.
<br />2) committee discussed Resolution No. 78-163 which is the resolution not approving the
<br />NOACA Recommended 208 Water Pollution Abatement Plan. Committee h gv+er~t this a lot
<br />of consideration. After ta~t,ng with Mayor Swietyniawski, Mr. Seats and others from
<br />the County Commissioners, the one thittrg ls'ls~y all agxee on is if we table this resolu-
<br />tion, it is as though we are accepting it. Therefore, committee has decided not to
<br />recommend to Council to table it and each Councilman witl have to vote the way they
<br />feel about this resolution.
<br />Mr. Beaty, Chairman of Inter-governmental Relations and Legislation Committee re-
<br />ported: 1) committee met bxiefly befosethe meeting tonight with regard to the
<br />appointments by the Mayor for a number of Boards. Would like to move that Council
<br />approve these appointments, one at a time,
<br />Mr. Beaty moved Council approve the appointment of Mr. James Prokasy to Che Planning
<br />Commission for a five year term, seconded by Mr. Logan. Roll call on motion:

<br />Wilamosky. 6 Yeas - 1 Nay - Motion carried.
<br />rir. Beaty moved Council approve the appointments of Mr. Robert Parry, Mx. Carl Petroski,
<br />Marie Case, and Mr. Don 'dilliams, to the Architectural Review Board, two year appoint-
<br />ments, seconded by Mrs. Saringer. Affirmative vote: Beaty, !3oeh~ner, Logan, Petrigac,
<br />Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
<br />Mr. Beaty moved Council approve the appointment of Pir. Ronald J. Talton, Sx. to the
<br />Board of Building Code Appeals, seconded by Mrs. Saringer. Affirmative vote: Beaty,
<br />Boeh~ner, Logan, Petrigac, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
<br />Z~ir. Beaty moved Council approve the appointment of Mr. Arthur Boessneck, Jr. to the
<br />Department of Human Resources Advisory Board, seconded by Mr. ?~iilamosky. Affirmative
<br />vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
