<br />Council Minutes of 11-8-78 <br />-6- <br />LEGISLATION Cont'd: <br />Resolution No. 78-149 introduced by Mr. Boehmer was given its second reading. A reso- <br />lution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise far bids for one (1) <br />electronic flow metex for the Esther Road sanitary sewer line, and authorizing t'~e <br />Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 78-150 introduced by Mr. Boehmer was given its second reading. A reso- <br />lution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to advertise for bide for five (5) <br />new police cars. <br />Resolution No. 78-152 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor to make application to the Cuyahoga <br />County Board of Commissioners for approval to use Cuyahoga County Motor Vehicle $5.00 <br />License Tax Funds for participation with the County in the improvement of Brookpark <br />Road, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 78-153 introduced by Mr. Boehmer was given its first reading. A reso- <br />lution authorizing the Mayor to sign a contract with the Cuyahoga County General <br />Health District for the year 1979, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 78-154 introduced by Mr. Boehmer was given its first reading, An ordn- <br />ance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Lorain County Commissa~aers <br />for the housing of prisoners from the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 78-155 introduced by Mrs. Petrigaeaas given its first reading. An ordin- <br />ance designatin the North Olmsted City Hall as a historical landmark. <br />Ordinance No. 78-156 introduced by Mr. Logan was given its first reading. An ordin- <br />ance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the Citq of North Olmsted by pro- <br />viding for the installation of a "No Right Turn on Red" sign at the intersection of <br />Lorain Road and Great Northern Boulevard. <br />Resolution No. 78-157 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its first reading. A reso- <br />lution authorizing the. Director of Public Service to advertise for bide for a new <br />transit to be used in the Engineering Department. <br />Resolution No. 78-158 introduced by Mrs. Petrigac was given its first reading. A <br />resolution expressing opposition to Ohio Revised Code Section 4513..53 which aiiows <br />persons, except those who are under the age of 18 years, or novice operators, to ride <br />motorcycles without wearing protective helmets, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 78-159, introduced by Mr. Baehmer was given its first reading. An ordin- <br />ance amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 78-82 entitled "An ordinance establishing the <br />organization and composition of the Police Department: salaxiea and various benefits <br />for the members of the Police Department: various rules, regulations sad e~loyee <br />rights and declaring an emergency, as amended", and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 78-160 introduced by Mr. Beaty was given its first reading.. A re$o1u- <br />tion commending the public service of Irwin L. Seidel, Member of the Sward of Building <br />Code Appeals. Mr. Beaty moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings, <br />seconded by Mr. Wilamostcy. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, <br />Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Mr. Beaty moved for adop~,tion, seconded by <br />Mr. Wilamosky. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe, <br />tailamoaky. Motion carried.
