Council Minutes of 10-3-78 -3- <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mrs. Gemma Szabo, 30837 Bradley Road addressed Council and asked if Ordinance No. <br />78-103 was to go back ~;rto csua~ittee or voted on tonight. Mr. Logan advised that it <br />would be voted upon tonight. President Lampert added that the rec bons from <br />the people at the Public Hearing will be taken to committee for consideration. <br />Mr. Robert Parry, 7150 Butternut Ridge Road addressed Council regarding Ordinance <br />No. 78-126 - adopting uniform rules and standards for sewer is~rovnts. ~sumes <br />they would apply to new home construction; how will they affect repairs to existing <br />storm or sanitary connections; etc. City ~gineer Zurawsgi replied that the Cuyahoga <br />County Municipal Engineer's Asaociat~, the County Sanitarp Engineer and Cleveland <br />Utilities Department have spent considerable effort in trying to dsvelope a standard <br />which would be adopted co~-ty wide. Hopefully this will alleviate sense of the <br />problems which we have due to some of the designs and construction now used in our <br />City. Much discussion followed. Mrs. Petrigac invited Mr. Parry to attend the <br />Environmental Control Committee meeting on October 4th at 7:30 P.M. <br />Mr. Bill Bruton, 4577 Kew Drive addressed Council regarding the status of the side- <br />walk of Mill Road and the Fall planting of new trees. Mr. Zurawski informed him <br />that Ordinance No. 78-135. is on the agenda tonight and covers the Mill Road side- <br />walk. Mr. Corrigan informed Mr. Bruton that we have approximatley 60 trees ordered <br />for Fall planting and the Finance Comm~.ttee will determine next week if an additional <br />24O trees can be purchased. Discussion continued as to where these trees were to be <br />planted. Mr. Wilamosky noted that im September and November of ],977, the Finance <br />Committee recommended to Council that appropriations be transferred to tree planting. <br />Council approved but this was never done. At the next Finance Committee meeting will <br />be discussing transfer of appropriations and this will include tree planting. <br />Mr. Jim Supple, 744 Downing Court, Berea, Ohio, a North Olmsted Aus Driver, addressed <br />Council regarding the 90~-day exten$icaa of the RTA contract. Both Mayor Swietyniowski <br />and Councilman Wilamosky told him the contract offered by RTA was totally unacceptable. <br />Discussion ensued. Mr. Supple was encouraged to go to RTA or cotes to City Ball and <br />review the agreement presented to the City for adoption. <br />LL~GISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 78-94 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance providing for the a~ndttt of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted, which <br />Zone Map is part of the Zoning Cade of the City of North Olmsted by changing the <br />premises hereinafter described from Class A High Rise Residential District to General <br />Retail Business District. In the absence of Chairman Sharpe, Mr. Logan moved for '' <br />adoption, seconded by Mr. Boeh~t;. Affirmative vote: Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, <br />Beringer, i~ilamosky. Motion carried. Ordinance No. 78-94 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 78-103 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted, which <br />Zone Map is part of the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted, by changing the <br />premises hereinafter described from Limited Industrial District to B Residence <br />District. In the absence of Chairman Sharpe, Mr. Logan moved for adoption, seconded <br />by Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative vote: Boehtseer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer.
