Council Minutes of 6-20-78 <br />-7- <br />Resolution No. 78-91 was introduced by Mrs. Sharpe and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for recording purposes only the Richard A. Bdkin Subdivision <br />in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Resolution No. 78-92 was introduced by lgrs. Sharpe and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for recording R~ aaly the dedication plat for the <br />widening of West 231 Street in the City of ~feizth Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. 78-93 was introduced by Mr. Beaty and given its first reading. An <br />Ordinance amending the Traffic Control Map sad File of the City of North 03asted <br />to provide for the installation of a traffic coatrol signal at the intersection <br />of Westview Drive and Lorain Road. <br />Ordinance No. 78-94 was introduced by Mrs. Sharpe and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance providing for the nt of the Zone Map of the City of North <br />Olmsted, which Zone Map is part of the Zonf,ng Code of the City of North Olmsted, <br />by changing the premises hereinafter described from Class A High Rise Residential <br />District to General Retail Business District. <br />Resolution No. 78-95 was introduced by Mr. Logan and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to advertise for bids <br />for the repair of the roof of the Recreation Center Complex, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />President Lampert referred Ord. No. 78-89 and Res. No. 78-90 into Finance Committee. <br />President Lampert referred Res. No. 78-95 into Recreation Committee and Finance <br />Committee for a joint meeting. Mr. Wilamoeky would like to have recommendation <br />from the Administration with respect to the financing of this proposal. <br />Under Old $usiness: <br />Mrs. Saringer referred to legislation with respect to traffic signal at Westview <br />~ Lorain Rds., and reminded the Chaira~am of Transportation CoamRtee when this <br />comes up for discussion, that c+~tituents h~l requested a txaffic signal at <br />Lessner Rd. ~ Lorain and Walter Rd. & Lorain. It was never approved and Macs. <br />Saringer would like the Committee to make sure that the overall traffic flow <br />is what it should be - that it will not present more of a problem for the people <br />at the easterly end of the City. Discussion ensued. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked what is causing the delay of the opening of the senior center <br />at the Shopping Center. Mayor Swietyniowski explained that contracts had to be <br />signed by various individuals, etc. - the work is now proceeding and it should be <br />opened in approximately two weeks. <br />Mr. Wilamosky referred to comments with respect to spraying for mosquitoes and <br />requested the Safety Director to incorporate in the spraying program the area <br />along the I-480 right-of--way; also area of Garden City. Mr. Wilamosky has received <br />calls with respect to same. <br />Mrs. Petrigac referred to discussion in Long Range Planning Committee with respect <br />to whether or not the new automa-biles will have air conditioning and asked Service <br />Director Corrigan if same will be included in the specs. Service Director Corrigan <br />iscussed same stating until such tine as the financing is resolved it is a moot <br />question; however, stated reasons why he feels it is justified and a good investment. <br />~,~: <br />
