Council Minutes of 5-16-78 _7_ <br />Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman $uilding, Zoning ~ Developeent Cc~arittee, reported the <br />B.Z.&D. Committee met igty 34, 3978. Also in attendance Were Building Cosssionar <br />Gundy and City Bngineer ZuraWaki. Fa33oWing iteas mere discwsed: <br />1) Min+otti Beverage and Office Bvilling located at Lorain & Dever Center Ris. .There <br />is adequate parking and transfiguration of traffic flog Wi11 enter from Lorain Ad. <br />and exit on Dover Center Rd. Committee has no obi-actions: <br />Mrs. Sharpe moved Council approve the pntrkiug of Mituatti Beverage, seconded by <br />Mr. Beaty. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boebssr, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe, <br />Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />2) Fragapane Bakery & Office Building located at Park Ridge & Lorain Rd. The parking <br />is adequate and Committee has no ob3ections: <br />Mrs. Sharpe moved Council approve the parking at Fragapane Bakery & Office Building, <br />seconded by Mr. Beaty. Affirmative ate: Beaty, Boahaer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, <br />Sharpe. Negative vote: Wilaaioaky. 6 Yeas - 1 Nay - Nation carried. <br />3) additional parking area at Halleen Ford to be used for leased cars. Coffiittee <br />has no objections: <br />Mrs. Sharpe moved Council approve the additional parking area's Halleen Ford, <br />seconded by Mir. Beaty. Mr. Wilasosky ascertained that the property in question <br />is vacant and asked Law Director Gareau in light of the fact that the structure <br />is not being used for a proposed business whether we can go ahead With the existing <br />structure with respect to the parking. Discussion ensued. LaW pirector Gareau <br />stated as long as the parking is fn conjunction with the use of the building it can <br />be utilised for that. Mr. Beaty reiterated the conditions which Planning Commission <br />approved With respect to these plans. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehtiwer, Logan, <br />Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe. Negative vote: Wilamosky. 6 Yeas - 1 Nay - Motion carried. <br />4) Groveland Gardens ~3 Subdivision - the realignment of two parcels and legislation <br />for same is on first reading tonight; <br />5) received communication from Board of Zoning Appeals relative to a variance for <br />Hellers Restaurant, 4998 Dover Center Rd. Special permission is required by Ord. <br />No. 62-33. Hellers would like to renovate and repair the roof of their building. <br />Committee has no objections: <br />Mrs. Sharpe moved Council approve special permission granted to Hellers Restuurant <br />to repair roof to a non-conforming building, seconded by Mr. Boeher. Affirmative <br />vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe, Wilamasky. Motion carried. <br />Letters, Gommunications: <br />Clerk presented Counc3.1 with petitions for stops signs at 8dgepark & Woodpark and <br />Edgepark ~ Pine Circle. President Lampert referred sane into Transportation Committee. <br />Mx. Boehmer stated Committee has already met with respect to these requests. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. Louis Horvath, 4647 Asalea Lane, addressed Council with respect to his <br />experience when he was a state examiner concerning outcome of a case where employees <br />were paid for hours not actually worked and having to refund money. <br />Mr. Bill Bruton, 4577 Raw Drive, addressed Council with respect to status of Mill <br />Rd. sidewalks and who maintains Wirth Porter Rd. Service Direc~r Corrigan discussed <br />same. <br /> <br />
