A11 members <br />were present along with the Mayar, Safety Director, Service Direct4r aad Fire Ghief <br />Ray Bement. Discussed installation c?f a mw atreet light on Jenkins Road. Request was <br />denied far lack of funds and Committoe feit thexe were other priorities ae far ae <br />street lighting. Have a long list oa tbis. <br />2) Committee diseussed Ordinance No. 79-6, requiring all aew firsmn to becane paramedics <br />within three years of hiriag. Ordiamce wl.Tl etay in Comaittee for further study. <br />3) Committee discussed keepiag two o# the oId poiice cars for the auxiliary patral and <br />would like to put oa four additional suacil.iar,? polieeiaen. <br />4) Transportation Camittee nrst amcl discuosed now bus shelters oa Lorain Iioad. It is <br />Chairman's un&rotanding that City doe= bove a contract with RTA and about ten new bas <br />shelters wiil be installed scrmetime thia year. <br />Mayor Swietyniowski commented that there will be 9 bus eheltexs to sta=t with and <br />RTA will additionally add more.
