Council Minutes of 2/6/79 -4- <br />In the absence of Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Tkwelopment <br />Committee, Mr. Logan reported: 2) ccmmmittee n?et Wedneeday, January 31st.... Dia,cussed <br />Resolution No. 79-7, a resolution scceptf.ng for recordiag purgoees only the Timbar <br />Trail ltesubdivision in the City of North Oimsted which is on secartd sesding touight. <br />Said reaubdivision consists of Che realignvant of lots within the Timber Trail Sub- <br />division which was previously approved by Couxtcil. Comaittee has no ohjeetfcn. <br />2) comznittee also discusa+ed Resolv?tian No. 79-8, araaolution accepting for recording <br />purposes only, Groveland Gardea Sub$ivisicn l+iv. 4 in the City of North Olmted, which <br />is on second reading tonight. The subdivisian coAsists af the creatiai of three lots <br />from oae existing lot. Committee has ao c+bjecti.on. <br />3) cammittee discussed thee signs for Taco Bc11 Restaurant. Due to tha cantroversy <br />regarding the signs, cammittee decided to mwvs that Caurncil either accepC or rejece <br />the Planning Conmz3ssion's recomettdst#c?n r"axding the Taca Bea1.1 sign as stated in Che <br />PlanniAg Comzniasion's Minutes of .lanuary 9, 1979. <br />Mr. Logan cammexted that in Caucus this eweaiag, Couucil did discvas the Taco Bell <br />sign and was prepared to move to sccept parC of Plauning Gommi?ssicra's recoamtendation <br />and to reject part of it. General discuseian ensued. <br />Mr. Logan naved Council accept Flanaing Gcmmissioa's recommendation that the frvnt <br />wall sign "Taco aell" be reduced to two diā¬ferent background colors and the fzont <br />lettering be of the same c41or, but that Comeil does not accept Plantting Conmiaaion's <br />reconmendation for the pple sigxt and the pale siga ss oxigiAa7.ly submi.tted be <br />approved. Motion geconded by Mr. Btaelmr. B+oll call an motion: Affirmative vote: <br />Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Fet=fgac, 3aringer. Negative vote: Wilamosky. <br />5 Ayes - 1 Nay - Motion carried. <br />Mr. Logan also reported that Mr. Rvbert C. Ri11 who is a comprehensive commtsnity <br />planning landscape architectural consultsat has submitted a proposal to the B2D <br />Comtnittee to rewark our ZOAiAg COdE. In his prvposal, Mr. Hill has outlfne8 siacteen <br />different chapters which need ammdiag m1 the BZD Committee will be taking this under <br />consideration. The fee for this campreheneive work would be $6,000 and would be <br />completed within four months. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinattce Na. 79-2 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance accepting an easement from M. Della Veila Building Conqsany for stoxm sewers <br />located in the Timber Trail Subd3viaion within the City of North Olmeted. Mr. Logan <br />moved for adoption, secaaded bq Mr. Boetmer. Affixmttive vde: Beaty, Baehner, Logan, <br />Petrigac, Saringer, [ailamoaky. Mntion carried. OrdiAence No. 79-2 adapted. <br />Resolution No. 79-3 iatroducsd by Mr. Logan was given its third reading. A resolu- <br />tion authorizing the Director of Safetg to advertise fvr bids for one (2) gymttasCic <br />mat for use in the Recreation Iegartment. Mr. Logan moved !or adoptfrrrn, socottded by <br />Mr. 3oehmer. Affirmative vote: Beaty, B r, Lugmn, Petrigac, Saringer, Wilamooky. <br />Motion carried. Resolutian No. 79-3 adapted. <br />Resolutian No. 79-4 introduced by Mr. Wi3.amosky was given 1ts third r"ling. A reso- <br />lutfcm autborizing the Director of Public Sorvi.ce to advertise for bida for a 111 tan <br />utility service ven for the Waste Water Trestnent Syetem, and autharizing the Mayor to <br />contract for same, and declaring an et+ergency. Mr. tailamosky moved for adoption, <br />secvaded by Mrs. Saringer. Af£irmative vote: Aeaty, Boehmer, Lagan, Petrigac, <br />Saringer, Wilamosky. Motian carried. Reselution No. 79-4 adogted. <br />Ordinance No. 79-5 introduced by Mr. Boehmer was given its second reading. An ordin- <br />ance establishing and fixing the campensaCicra for all Couneil at Large Members of the <br />City of North 0lmsted for the tena of offtce ec?mmnci.ng January l, 1984, and ending <br />Decembex 31, 1983, and declaring gn emot$eticy, as amended.
