At next meeting <br />Council Taas advised it was too late to anply since City could not meet the June <br />deadline. :,.ouever, the grant was also offered from July, with an Oetober deadline, <br />and Mr. Corrigan was asked to campIy with the October desdline. At •Julv 21st <br />meeting, ??rs. Petrigac aeked ahout the grant ap»1ic8tion, remindinf, "Ir. Corrigan <br />of the October deadline. Council Eaas on vacation in August. Since '_3r. Corrigan Taas <br />not at the last rneeting in 5entember, TRrs. FetriQac called his office and his <br />secretary stated that she did not knaw the status of the anplication. Mrs. PetriQac requested a11 the <br />forms, as well as the cover letter, only to find thaC none of the paner work was <br />even be,-un. Keeping in rnind that "4r. Corrigan told Council in April that he could <br />not meet a June deadline, the pager work should have been started in late August or <br />the first part of Sentember i€ he thought the desdline iiias October 31st. PetriQac feels this demoastrates a <br />lack of concern by the Achainistratic?n w3th respect to litter control which has <br />become a local, counCy, state and national problem and must begin to be cmnbated at <br />the local level. <br />`Ir. Council has topies of the amended form; Committee has no objection <br />to Ordinance No. 81-113, as amended. <br />2) Committee discussed Ordinance No. 81-111, authorizing the Service Director to <br />advertise for sodium aluminate. Committee has no objection. <br />3) Committee discussed Ordinance No. 81-1129 authorizing the Service Director to <br />advertise for salt and cindexs. Cownittee has no ob3ection. <br />4) CoAnnittee discussed with Fittance Director a proposal made by the P.ocky River <br />Finance Director with respect to sharing any deficit operating cost of the Rocky <br />Ttiver Court.
