Cc>m;gressman Dennis Eckart will Chair <br />the meetiagz everyone invited; achmisaioa is free. <br />2) Regarding Resolution No. 81-104, the CiLy af Lyttdhur8t was the first City in <br />Cuyaho-,a County to have an ordinance covering electrical capacitors and this was <br />used as a frame of reference. There are 22 pole locatione that have PCB caaacitora <br />here ia Plorth Olmsted. T11ree af these, accardfng to the Pire %partment, ±aay pr?- <br />sent a hazard and theq have slready ta2ked wi.th CEZ regarding these three poles. <br />CEI has investigated and two of the cetpacitars on twc of the poies will definite].y <br />be moved. The third one rnay not preaestt a hazard at thia time. All shift officers <br />in the Fire DeparCmeat aad Ptalice Degarttwent are awsre of the pole locations and <br />thie information has been passed on to the Safety Cazemittee. <br />Mayor Swietyniawski stated that he viZl forward information from the Mayors and <br />Managers Association with respect to these capaueitcre so Mrs. Petrigac will have <br />it when her committee meets. <br />Hr. 'loerpel, unaninwusly approved. ` <br />Hr. Wilamosky, Chairman Finaace Commai.ttee reported: 1) Finaace Comittee rnet on <br />JuZy 29th with all rnembers present and Chief VanRuren and Chief Taylor also in <br />attendance. Committee diecuased the alleged need for £ull sized, £our door sedans <br />for the Safety Department. Connmittee recamends that two of the six vehicles <br />to be purchased be mid-sized sad the four other vehic].ee, baeed on current <br />standards, be full size, fonr door sedaas. Also discuased the xadios. Both of <br />the Chiefs expressed their vfews and agreed with the cosmnittee that two mid-sized <br />autos would not hanper their charges and would be atctaptable for the intended use. <br />2) Committee discuased amendfag Che +f3rganizational (hart to provide far three new <br />clerk positions, two requested for the Police Department and one within the Fire <br />Deoartment. Comnittee will retain this request within committee for €urthar con- <br />sideration. Chiefs were advised of same. <br />3) Conmittee discussed with Director Corrigsn the service equipment and recommads <br />that Ordinance No. 81-102 be adopted. This ordinatace prawides for the isauance of <br />$410,000 in notes for both 5erv3ce and Sagesty Degsrtment equipment with $350,000 <br />earmarked for Service and the balance for Ssfety. <br />4) Comanittee discussed with Chie€ Taylor, the EE.'uyahoga Cotmty computer program known <br />as the CRIS Frogram. Coat of the pxogtm 3s $6,356 and there will be a$63.OU monthly <br />maintenanee fee. Copoeai.ttee haffi na objection to this program. It will eli2nimate t'he <br />LEEDS Pragram currently used and ta amore aqphieticated piece of equigment.
