Council Minutes of 5/3(83 -6- <br />4D 4) Committee briefly discussed the Sewer System Evaluation Survey and capital improve- <br />ments to begin at the Treatment Plant in September or October and to be caffipleted in <br />October of 1986. Future meeting date will be aanounced under new business to further <br />discuss SSES. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Finance Coimnittee reported: 1) A joint meeting of Finance and <br />Environmental Control Coram.ittees was held to discuss the intent of Ordinance No. $3-40, <br />which would provide for some adjustments to the existing City policy as it relates to <br />picking up rubbish from condominiums in the City. Service Director Corrigan and <br />Doctor Mandato were also in attendance. Dr. Ma.ndato offered to provide Mr. Corrigan <br />with some cost information; Mr. Corrigan will study the information he has gathered <br />as well as the infarmation supplied by Dr. Mandato. Committee did not come to any <br />conclusion; will continue to look at what the needs are and what the costs will be <br />and will report back to Council. <br />Letters and Courmunications: <br />Clerk announced receipt of a communication from Mrs. Anne Predovic, asking Council to <br />disapprove the rezoning in the Pheasant Walk Subdivisfion, as reported by Mr. Woerpel. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. John McGill, 34555 Chagrin Boulevard, Moreland Hills, Ohio, asked for a vote by <br />Council with respect to the request to rezone a 42 acre parcel on the southwest quadrant <br />of 1480 and relocated 252. Mr. Logan explained that this was not the way Cauncil <br />operated. Planning Commi.ssion rejected the request, BZD Committee upheld Planning <br />Commission's decision, Council concurred by not asking for appropriate legislation so, <br />in effect, also rejects the request for rezoning. <br />Sparky DiBenedetto, 190 Plymouth, Bay Village, Ohio, again discussed his request for <br />rezoning of the northeast corner of Dover and Brookpark Road Extension; stated he <br />has to exhaust every remedy before going to Common Pleas Court. Mr. Bierman advised <br />he did not have to appeal to Countil; the City Charter contains steps for appeal; <br />Mr. DiBenedetto should have his attorney look into our Charter. <br />Mr. Lynn Ma.ximuk, 30817 Old Shore Drive, President of the Timber Trails/Meadowbrook <br />Homeowners' Association outlined the many problems existing in the subdivision which <br />include, lack of dedicated streets, City's waiver of the completion performance bond, <br />construction of Class B housing, lack of street lighting, people parking on the <br />street and cutting through private property to gain access to the Soccer Fields, etc. <br />Mr. John Kipp, 30786 Windy Hollow, supported all of Mr. Maximuk's statements and also <br />referred to the minutes of Council of April 19, 1983, in which the City Engineer <br />stated he had walked the site, talked to the new developer who would prepare a response <br />to a submitted list of problems to be corrected. Has City Engineer receiued a response? <br />Mr. Zurawski advised that the response was received and his reply will be prepared <br />within the month. Mr. Woerpel, Chairman BZD Committee asked that a meeting be set up <br />with the homeowners and the committee for further discussion of the problems. <br />Mrs. Gemma Szabo, 30827 Bradley Road, thanked the AdministratiQn for erecting the "no <br />parking" signs at the Bradley/Barton Park. <br />Mrs. Lois DeBrodt, 23141 Stoneybrook Drive, presented a request by two students to <br />allow Horizons to use Town Hall for Mime Theatre and Shakespeare.
