Coimcil Minutes of 2/15/83 <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 83-4 introduced by Mr. [ioerpel was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance creating a financial task force for the purpose of reviewing a21 in- <br />come and expense for the City of North Olmsted, and reporting its findings to <br />Council, with recomm?ndations for improved fiscal management of the City's <br />financial resources. <br />Ordinance No. 83-10 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the issuance of notes in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds for the purpose of acquiring motor vehicles for the Department of Public <br />Safety, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of rule re- <br />quiring three readings, second by Mr. Logan, unanimously approved. Mr. McKay <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Logan, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. <br />83-10 adopted. <br />-6- <br />Resolution No. 83-11 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for 1,400 gallons of highway and crosswalk paint for use by the Service Department, <br />and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same. <br />Ordinance No. 83-13 introduced by Mr. Logan was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending Seetion 739.01 entitled "Posting Current Gasoline Prices" of <br />Chapter 739 entitled "Gasoline Service Stations" of the Codified Ordinances of <br />the City of North Olmsted. <br />Mr. Woerpel cammented that he was surprised the Legislative Committee reported <br />that Ordinanee No. 83-13 had no merit; he feels that it has. While large signs <br />are posted at gasoline stations showing the price per gallon, as required by <br />ordinance, if the pump is dispensing gasoline by the liter, ?Kr. Logan's legis- <br />lation would require that the price per liter be posted also. <br />Ordinance No. 83-14 introduced by Mr. Bierma.n was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to grant a license <br />to Springvale Country Club and North Olmsted Golf Course, to locate a sign within <br />the City ri$ht-of-way, as specified in said license, at the corner of Canterbury <br />Road and Butternut Ridge Road, in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. 83-16 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance establishing a new Section 107.15 of the Codified Ordinanceg entitled <br />"Financial Disclosure Statement Required" of Chapter 107 entitled "Code of Ethics". <br />Ordinance No. 83-17 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance appropriating One Hundred and Five Thousand Dollars ($105,000.40) for <br />engineering to improve water service in various areas of the City, and declaring <br />an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 83-18 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Ma.yor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an <br />agreement with Michael Benza and Associates for the purpose of providing engineering <br />services to improve water pressure and flow in various sections of the City by <br />cleaning and relining various watei lines and installing new water lines, and de- <br />claring an emergency.
