Council Minutes of 10/16/84 <br />-4- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 84-94 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the <br />Cuyahoga County Sanitary Sewer District to purchase a used trailer-mounted <br />sewer vacuum unit, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 84-94 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 84-93 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to transfer and make appropriations for current expenses and other ex- <br />penditures for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, for the year ending December 31, <br />1984, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. O'Grady. Roll call on motion: <br />Affirmative vote: O'Grady, Tallon, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Bierman, Petrigac, <br />Saringer. 3 Aye - 3 Nay - Motion failed. Two-thirds vote required. <br />Ordinance No. 84-95 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance creating a new fund, adding to the financial structure of the City <br />of North Olmsted, a fund known as the Lorain Road-East Fund, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 84-96 introduced by Mr. Bierman was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance requiring any person convicted of an offense, other than a minor <br />misdemeanor, and confined to prison, station house, workhouse or county jail, <br />to reimburse the City of North Olmsted for its expenses incurred by reason of <br />confinement and authorizing the Law Department to institute an appropriate <br />civil action to recover same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 84-97 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading.. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $5,315,000 notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of paying costs of improving and ex- <br />panding the Municipal Wastewater Treatment Facilities, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 84-98 introduced by Mrs. Petrigac was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a grant agreement with the Ohio <br />Historic Preservation Office for the acceptance of a grant-in-aid for the Fiscal <br />Years 1984-1985, and declaring an emergency. Mrs. Petrigac moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. <br />Mrs. Petrigac moved for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 84-98 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 84-99 introduced by Mrs. Saringer on behalf of the Mayor and the <br />entire Council was given its first reading. A resolution commending achievement <br />of the Silver Award in Cadette Girl Scouting. Mrs. Saringer moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. <br />Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 84-99 adopted. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mr. Wilamosky scheduled a Streets and Drainage Committee Meeting for October 22nd <br />at 8:30 P.M. and requested that the ?Mayor, Service Director, Commissioner Gorsuch <br />and Mr. Henry Reichel be notified. Will discuss Carey Lane ditch. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked the Mayor what his administrative policy has been in the past <br />with respect to employees driving city vehicles home. Mayor responded that basically <br />the people who have vehicles are on twenty-four hour duty. Mrs. Saringer asked if <br />non-residents were also allowed to drive to and from work. Mayor responded "yes, <br />if he is required to come in at all hours". <br />r <br />
