Council Minutes o~ 3/6/84 <br />-3- <br />3) Committee met with Mr. Howard Childs, representing Mr. Brickens, Columbia Trailer <br />Park, who has indicated some interest in connecting into North Olmsted's sanitary <br />system. Mr. Brickens is considering a tie-in of about 390 units. Committee is <br />awaiting a written proposal regarding the possible tap-in and utilization of the <br />Treatment Plant at which time Committee will review and submit a report to Council. <br />4) Committee discussed the Clerk of Council's vacation. Would like Council to <br />consider two things: One, that the Clerk submit a vacation schedule to Council and <br />two, to consider legislation for an appropriation for an Assistant to the Clerk of <br />Council, to fill in if a Council Meeting is scheduled during the Clerk's vacation <br />period, <br />Mrs. Petrigac asked if the Finance Committee had considered rejoining Regional <br />Planning. Mr. Wilamosky replied that they had not; basically just discussed the <br />General Fund. <br />Audience participation: <br />Mrs. Gemma Szabo, 30837 Bradley Road, asked what the cost of the new Council Chambers <br />was.-Mayor replied approximately $200,000. Mrs. Szabo also discussed the purchase <br />of chairs - $9,000 and the purchase of the pew-type seating - $9,000. Commented on <br />the disparity of $9,000 for thirteen chairs for Council and the Administration as <br />compared to $9,000 for seating for 125 people in the audience. Does not feel this <br />is a .justified expense. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 84-5 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Walter Drane Company f_or <br />the purpose of recodifying the ordinances of the City of North Olmsted. Mrs. Saringer <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 84-5 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 84-6 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An ordinance <br />to accept an easement for the installation and maintenance of a water line for the <br />purpose of supplying water service by the City of Cleveland to land owned by Great <br />Northern Shopping Center. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierman, <br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 846 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 84-7 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the City of North Olmsted by prohibiting <br />parking at any time on both sides of Country Club Boulevard, from Victoria Lane to <br />Columbia Road, and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption, second by <br />Mrs; Petrigac, unanimously approved Ordinance No. 84-7 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 84-9 introduced by Mr. to~ilamosky was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance consenting to the maintenance and repair. of certain streets and roads by the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr Bierman, unanimously approved. <br />Ordinance No. 84-9 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 84-4 introduced by Mrs. Petrigac was given its second reading. A reso- <br />lution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to advertise for bids for four (4) <br />new police cars to be used by the Police Department, one (1) new car to be used by the <br />Safety Director, one (1) new four to five ton dump truck to be used by the Parks and <br />Recreation Department, and one (1) new chassis for Squad 51 to be used by the North <br />Olmsted Fire Department, as amended. <br />
