Council Minutes of 11 //85 -2- <br />Finance Director Boyle reported: 1) He and Budget and Management Director will <br />meet with Mr. Lynch, County Budget Commission, to discuss various matters. <br />2) Has been advised by Rocky River Court that after three quarters they are running <br />at a $39,000 deficit; North Olmsted's share is 33.85~/$13,484.U2. Is advising <br />Council of this obligation which has been a negative figure most of this year but <br />has been decreasing. This does not guarantee that the city will owe money as of <br />the end of the year but at this point it is still a negative figure. <br />3) Extended congratulations to all the candidates for running a fine campaign. <br />Mr. O'Grady, Chairman Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee reported: <br />1) Moved council have no objection to the issuance of a D5 liquor permit to Fiaro, <br />Incorporated, dba Ciattis, 4970 Great Northern Mall, North Olmsted, Ohio, second <br />by Mr. Bierman, unanimously approved. <br />2) Moved Council have no objection to the issuance of a D3 liquor permit to Gabino <br />G. Costilla, dba E1 Charro Restaurant, 30111 Lorain Road, Units 1, 2, 3A, North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, second by Mr. Rademaker, unanimously approved. <br />3) Moved Council have no objection to the issuance of a D5 liquor permit to Timber <br />Trail Party Center, Incorporated, 30850 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, second <br />by Mr. Rademaker, unanimously approved. <br />Mrs. Petrigac gave the following Landmarks Commission Report: In September, 1984, <br />North Olmsted Landmarks Commission received a grant from the Ohio Historical Society, <br />through the United States Department of the Interior, to complete a comprehensive <br />survey of pre-1920 buildings. in North Olmsted. The grant was completed July 31, 1985, <br />with 233 buildings being surveyed, photographed and researched. On October 21st, <br />the owners of the homes that were surveyed, were invited to a meeting at Town Hall <br />to review the photos, surveys and to document any changes. The turnout was very <br />successful and the efforts of the Landmarks Commission were most appreciated. North <br />Olmsted now has 262 buildings or sites that have been inventoried. <br />Mr. Tallon, Chairman Building, Zoning and Development Committee reported: 1) BZD <br />Committee meeting was held Thursday, October 20th, to discuss the following proposals: <br />a) Great Northern. Retail Shopping Plaza Plans, located between <br />Pick-n-Pay and the Ameritrust drive-through office; approved by Board of Zoning <br />Appeals, Planning Commission and BZD Committee. Mr. Tallon moved Council approve <br />the above stated plans, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously approved. <br />b) Joe George, 24532 Lorain Road, change of occupancy to use existing <br />building as an auto body shop and proposed construction of an addition; approved by <br />Architectural Review Board and Planning Commission. BZD Committee requested that a <br />lighting plan be included; such a lighting plan was presented this evening and approved <br />by BZD Committee. BZD Committee would also recommend the addition of some trees on <br />the west border of the property. Mr. Tallon moved Council approve the above stated <br />plans, second by Mr. Rademaker. Mr. Wilamosky asked that Mr. Tallon state the number <br />of trees to be placed at the west boundary line. Mr. Tallon amended the motion to <br />read "three" trees to be planted on the west border of the property, second by Mr. <br />Rademaker, unanimously approved. <br />c) Sohio Pro Care, 4710 Great Northern Boulevard, proposal for an <br />addition and also alteration to front of the auto repair shop; approved by ARB, <br />Planning Commission and BZD Committee. Mr. Tallon moved Council approve the above <br />stated proposal, second by Mr. Bierman. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: <br />Bierman, O'Grady, Petrigac, Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon.
