<br />Ordinance No. 85-91 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance to transfer funds for current expenses and other expenditures for the
<br />City of North Olmsted, Ohio, for the year ending December 31, 1985, and declaring
<br />an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings,
<br />second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second
<br />by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 85-91 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 85-92 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance adopting the 1985 Codified Ordinances, and declaring an emergency.
<br />Ordinance No. 85-93 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted
<br />of an amendment to Article III, Section 2 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted
<br />permitting the Mayor to hold certain other enumerated public positions, as
<br />recommended by the Charter. Review Commission, and declaring an emergency. Mrs.
<br />Saringer moved Council waive referral to committee, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously
<br />approved. Mrs. Saringer moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second
<br />by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second by
<br />Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 85-93 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 85-94 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted
<br />of a proposed charter amendment relating to the ability of the Mayor to remove
<br />directors of the various departments without concurrence of Council, as recommended
<br />by the Charter Review Commission, and declaring an emergency. Mrs. Saringer moved
<br />for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously
<br />approved. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously
<br />approved. Ordinance No. 85-94 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 85-95 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted
<br />of a proposed charter amendment relating to duties of the Civil Service Commission
<br />as it concerns the classification of the classified and unclassified service, as
<br />recommended by the Charter Review Commission, and declaring an emergency. Mrs.
<br />Saringer moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. O'Grady.

<br />Saringer, Tallon. Negative vote: Wilamosky. 6 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried. Mrs.

<br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted
<br />of a proposed charter amendment relating to the number of signatures required on
<br />nominating petitions for municipal office within the city, and declaring an emergency.

<br />Ordinance No._85-97 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North .Olmsted
<br />of an amendment to the charter providing that existing staggered terms for council
<br />members be eliminated and that all terms of office for all council members shall commence
<br />and end at the same time, as recommended by .the Charter Review Commission, and declar-
<br />ing an emergency. Mrs. Saringer moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings,
<br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second
<br />by Mr. O'Grady. Roll. call on motion: Affirmative vote: O'Grady, Petrigac, Saringer,
<br />Wilamosky. Negative vote: Bierman, Rademaker, Tallon. 4 Aye 3 - Nay - Motion failed.
