Council Minutes of 6/18/85 <br />-3- <br />Audience participation: <br />Henry Kleinhenz, 5507 Whitehaven Avenue, requested information with respect to <br />the vote in November of 1984, in Precincts 3J and 3K, regarding the sale of <br />wine, beer and liquor. He has been unable to verify the results from anyone, <br />including the Board of Elections. President Boehmer instructed the Clerk to <br />look into the matter and notify Mr. Kleinhenz. <br />Joan Tymkewicz, 4678 Michael, complained of an injured dog causing a problem <br />in her neighborhood and the slow response time when she contacted the North Olmsted <br />Police Department for help. Commissioner Gorsuch reported that he, Dog Warden <br />Tom Krynak and a police officer had attempted to tranquilize the dog and capture <br />it but had not been successful; will continue their efforts again tomorrow. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 85-55 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for and accept <br />bids for the improvement of the Gessner Road pavement and roadside areas from the <br />Lorain Road intersection westward to the Walter Road intersection, as detailed in <br />the Gessner Road project specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor to con- <br />tract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 85-55 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-56 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for and accept <br />bids for the improvement of the Barton Road pavement and roadside areas from the <br />Lorain Road intersection northwest to the city limits, as detailed in the Barton <br />Road Project specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, <br />unanimously approved. Resolution No. 85-56 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-57 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for and accept <br />bids for the repair and resurfacing of streets in the Olmsted Colony Subdivision <br />including Holly Drive, Aspen Drive, Spruce Drive, Magnolia Drive, Elder Drive, Cypress <br />Drive and Maplehurst Road, as detailed in the Olmsted Colony Subdivision pavement <br />plans, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 85-57 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 85-58 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Building Commissioner to proceed with the demolition or <br />removal of the detached garage located at 5803 Stearns. Road, in the City of North <br />Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by <br />Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 85-58 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-60 introduced by Mrs. Petrigac was-given its third reading. A <br />resolution urging the Commissioners of Cuyahoga County to take whatever steps are <br />necessary to adopt a program for implementing a 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System. <br />Mrs. Petrigac moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 85-60 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 85-67 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted <br />of a proposed amendment to the Charter of the City of North Olmsted relating to the <br />establishment within the Department of Human Resources, a Division of Aging, and <br />declaring an emergency.
