` Council Minutes of 5/7/85 <br />-4- <br />Mr. Gene Petre, Safety Director, questioned the motion and second with respect <br />to the Hoty Strip Center development plans; stated they had not been approved <br />by Planning Commission; had not been reported out by the Engineering Department <br />or the Safety Department as to review of the retention system. and required drain- <br />age as well as access to the back of the building; feels the vote is premature <br />and there is a lot of data to be presented. Mr. Bierman reminded Mr. Petre that <br />his motion had included the stipulation "subject to approval by Police Department <br />and Engineering Department". <br />Mr. Tom Gallagher, Chadbourne Drive, complained of the "no trucks" sign on <br />Stearns Road; semi traffic, necessary to the businesses in Olmsted Township, and <br />free enterprise is being thwarted. Mr. Gallagher is speaking for the thirty-six <br />business in this area. President Boehmer replied that a letter had been received <br />from Mr. Shaker, Shaker IGA Supermarket, with respect to this problem and had been <br />placed into Transportation Committee for review and recommendation. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 83-61 introduced by Mr. Logan was given its third reading. A <br />resolution accepting for recording purposes only the 7515 Company's Subdivision <br />No. 2, in the City of North Olmsted, and repealing Resolutuion No. 81-14. Mrs. <br />Petrigac moved for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady. Affirmative vote: Bierman, <br />O'Grady, Petrigac, Rademaker. Negative vote: Wilamosky. 4 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion <br />carried. Resolution No. 83-61 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 84-110 introduced by Mrs. Petrigac was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the City of North Olmsted <br />to establish no stopping or parking zones on the fire hydrant side of Dogwood <br />Trail, Linwood Circle, and Forestwood Parkway. Mrs.. Petrigac moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. Bierman. Affirmative vote: Bierman, O'Grady, Rademaker. Negative <br />vote: Petrigac, Wilamosky. 3 Aye - 2 Nay - Motion carried. Ordinance No. 84-110 <br />adopted. Mrs. Petrigac reminded council that after introducing this legislation, <br />she had received numerous calls against passage. After conducting a survey, she <br />discovered that the majority of homeowners did not want such legislation passed <br />and had so advised council at the last meeting. Such being the case, Mr. Rademaker <br />moved for reconsideration of Ordinance No. 84-110, second by Mr. Bierman, unani- <br />mously approved. Mrs. Petrigac moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierman, unani- <br />mously disapproved. Ordinance No. 84-110 not adopted. <br />Since Ordinance No. 85-33 had not been reported out on as yet, it was removed from <br />the agenda and third reading suspended until May 21, 1985. <br />Ordinance No. 85-34 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an <br />agreement with an architect, for the purpose of renovation of the North Olmsted <br />Community Cabin, not to exceed $3,000.00, and declaring an emergency. Mrs. Petrigac <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. <br />85-34 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-35 introduced by Mrs. Petrigac was given. its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to advertise for bids for a <br />water coolant tower for the North Olmsted Recreation Center, and authorizing the <br />Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mrs. Petrigac moved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 85-35 <br />adopted. <br />
