Council Minutes of 4/16/85 -5- <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 85-25 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its third reading. A <br />resolution opposing the proposed Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection and Maintenance <br />Program for the State of Ohio. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second by Mr. <br />Tallon, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 85-25 adopted. Mr. Wilamosky ex- <br />plained his vote by stating that while emission controls are important to the <br />environment, he felt the. proposed rate structure submitted within the state legis- <br />lation was excessive; the cost of having the emissions tested should be looked at <br />and re-evaluated; thinks the price is outrageous.. <br />Resolution No. 85-26 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its third reading. A <br />resolution urging General Motors to locate its Saturn Division in Ohio, and further <br />urging it give Cuyahoga County preferable consideration.. Mrs. Saringer mvved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 85-26 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-27 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />5,000 tons of asphalt and tack coating. of city streets, and authorizing the Mayor <br />to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 85-27 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-28 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />2,500 gallons of highway and crosswalk paint far use by the Service Department, <br />and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 85-28 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-29 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for 500 cubic <br />yards of concrete, including removal, disposal, and replacement, for Service <br />Department road repair needs, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierman, <br />unanimously approved. Resolution No. 85-29 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-30 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for various <br />reflective traffic sign and roadway marking materials for use by the Service De- <br />partment, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emer- <br />gency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously <br />approved. Resolution No. 85-30 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-31 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />2,000 tons of stone for various Service Department needs, and authorizing the Mayor <br />to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 85-31 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-32 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for various <br />motor oils and lubricants far use by the Service Department garage, and authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved <br />for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 85-32 <br />adopted. <br />
