Council Minutes of 4/16/85 -7- LEGISLATION (cont'd): Resolution No. 85-41 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for and accept bids for the construction of storm sewers and roadside drain- age improvements along Butternut Ridge Road, from the Lorain Raad intersection eastward to the westerly terminus of the Dover Center Road Project as detailed in the Butternut Ridge Road Drainage Improvement Project plans, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Referred- to Streets and Drainage Committee. Resolution No. 85-42 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for and accept bids for the Sanitary Sewer Collection System Rehabilitation Program, Phase A - manhole rehabilitation throughout the City as described in plans and specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Refereed to Environmental Control Committee. Ordinance No. 85-43 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first reading. A revised Ordinance of Consent for the improvement of Clague Road, C.R. 52, under the supervision of the County of Cuyahoga and the Department of Transportation, State of Ohio, and repeal of Ordinance No. 77-166, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Streets and Drainage Committee. Resolution No. 85-44 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise and accept bids for sewer metering services on sanitary sewers throughout the City as part of the Sewer System Rehabilitation Program, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Environmental Control Committee. Ordinance No. 85-45 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first reading. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted Fire Fighters Local 1267 I.A.F.F., which agreement is the collective bargaining agreement between the City and the North Olmsted Fire Department, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. Ordinance No. 85-46 introduced by Mr. Bierman was given its first reading. An ordinance vacating a portion of the sanitary sewer easement located on property occupied by the Great Northern Shopping Center and further accegti.ng an easement from the Great Northern Shopping Center for a relocated sanitary sewer, and de- claring an emergency. Mr. Bierman moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Mr. Bierman moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 85-46 adopted. Under Old Business: Mrs. Saringer asked the Mayor when the Clague Road improvements would be started. Mayor replied the initial portion would be done the first part of June. Mr. Tallon asked the media to please take note that the businesses located at the south end of Dover Center Road are still open for business during this construction period. Perhaps an item in the papers would encourage people to continue to patronize these stores. Mr. Tallon also asked the Mayor what progress was being made on the locks and keys for the north end of the building. Mayor replied that a change has been made to the security system and the keys are on order from Best Lock Company.
