Council Minutes of 4/16/85 -7- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Resolution No. 85-41 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first <br />reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise <br />for and accept bids for the construction of storm sewers and roadside drain- <br />age improvements along Butternut Ridge Road, from the Lorain Raad intersection <br />eastward to the westerly terminus of the Dover Center Road Project as detailed <br />in the Butternut Ridge Road Drainage Improvement Project plans, and authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Referred- to Streets <br />and Drainage Committee. <br />Resolution No. 85-42 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first <br />reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise <br />for and accept bids for the Sanitary Sewer Collection System Rehabilitation <br />Program, Phase A - manhole rehabilitation throughout the City as described in <br />plans and specifications on file, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for <br />same, and declaring an emergency. Refereed to Environmental Control Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 85-43 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first <br />reading. A revised Ordinance of Consent for the improvement of Clague Road, <br />C.R. 52, under the supervision of the County of Cuyahoga and the Department of <br />Transportation, State of Ohio, and repeal of Ordinance No. 77-166, and declaring <br />an emergency. Referred to Streets and Drainage Committee. <br />Resolution No. 85-44 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first <br />reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise <br />and accept bids for sewer metering services on sanitary sewers throughout the <br />City as part of the Sewer System Rehabilitation Program, and declaring an <br />emergency. Referred to Environmental Control Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 85-45 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first <br />reading. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the <br />North Olmsted Fire Fighters Local 1267 I.A.F.F., which agreement is the collective <br />bargaining agreement between the City and the North Olmsted Fire Department, and <br />declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 85-46 introduced by Mr. Bierman was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance vacating a portion of the sanitary sewer easement located on property <br />occupied by the Great Northern Shopping Center and further accegti.ng an easement <br />from the Great Northern Shopping Center for a relocated sanitary sewer, and de- <br />claring an emergency. Mr. Bierman moved for suspension of rule requiring three <br />readings, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Mr. Bierman moved for <br />adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 85-46 <br />adopted. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mrs. Saringer asked the Mayor when the Clague Road improvements would be started. <br />Mayor replied the initial portion would be done the first part of June. <br />Mr. Tallon asked the media to please take note that the businesses located at <br />the south end of Dover Center Road are still open for business during this <br />construction period. Perhaps an item in the papers would encourage people to <br />continue to patronize these stores. <br />Mr. Tallon also asked the Mayor what progress was being made on the locks and <br />keys for the north end of the building. Mayor replied that a change has been <br />made to the security system and the keys are on order from Best Lock Company. <br /> <br />
