N <br />Council Minutes of 3/5/85 _3_ <br />Mr. O'Grady, Chairman Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee reported: <br />1) Had two liquor permits for Council's consideration. Mr. O'Grady moved Council <br />have no objection to the transfer of a D1, D2, D6 liquor permit from Georgalis, <br />Incorporated, dba Milton's. Family Restaurant, 26324 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, <br />Ohio, to Gusgeo, Incorporated, dba Milton's Family Restaurant, 26324 Lorain Road, <br />.North Olmsted, Ohio, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously approved. <br />2) Mr. O'Grady moved .Council have no objection to the issuance of an F2 liquor <br />permit to the Friends of ~3i11 Lackey for President of Council, function to be held <br />at 29271 Lorain Road, P7orth Olmsted, Ohio, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously <br />approved. <br />Mrs. Petrigac, .Chairman Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee as well as <br />Transportation Committee reported: 1) Transportation Committee met February 26th <br />to discuss the use- of City cars. There are sixteen city cars, twelve of which are <br />driven home. Three of the twelve cars the committee .felt might be optional as to <br />whether or not they should be driven home. Two of the sixteen cars have over <br />100,000 miles on them and committee does not recommend their replacement. Did not <br />discuss the placement of numbers .on city cars-nor the seals. TJi11 discuss this at <br />another meeting.. <br />2) The Ad Hoc Planning Committee has continued to meet monthly and at the March <br />meeting will be discussing cluster housing. Hope to have a developer at this <br />meeting to discuss this concept and whether it would fit into North Olmsted. <br />Would invite all of Council to attend the meeting zahich will be held on March 18th <br />at 7:30 P.?~T. <br />Mr. Tallon, Chairman Building,. .Zoning and Development Committee reported: 1) BZD <br />Committee inet on Thursday, .February 28th at 7:30 P.M. All members were present as <br />well as Building Commissioner Gundy and City Engineer Schaller. The first order <br />of business were the following Building Department requests: <br />a. Malley's Candy, ?.3473 Lorain Road,. proposal for exterior alter- <br />ation to existing building. Mr. Wagner, contractor, represented Malley's. The <br />proposal is considered an improvement. Committee recommends approval. Mr. Tallon <br />moved Council accept the proposal as stated above, as approved by the ARB, Planning <br />Commission and BZD Committee, second by htr. Bierman, unanimously approved. <br />b. Timber Trail Homeowners' Association, proposal to install two <br />ground signs in the public right-of-way of Hickory Lane, near Lorain Road. <br />Mr. VanKuren represented the homeowners' association. ..Proposal was accepted, con- <br />tingent upon the Safety Department's report which has since been received. Mr. <br />Tallon moved Council accept-the proposal as stated above, second by Mr, iailamosky, <br />unanimously approved. <br />c. Earl ~ehefh proposal for exterior alteration. Richard Liwosz <br />represented Earl Scheib... BZD Committee approved plans, as per recommendation of <br />Planning-Commission, to install curb on front. sidewalk, on south side, to prevent <br />cars from coming across sidewalk; ARB's recommendation for greenery in the. parking <br />lot; BZD Committee's recommendation to add curbs on the west side of the east walk <br />to prevent cars from turning onto Lucydale Avenue. Mr. Tallon moved Council <br />approve the proposal as stated above, second by ?4r. O'Grady. Mr. ?ailamosky moved <br />Council recess for five minutes to discuss and view the plans, second day Mr. O'Grady, <br />unanimously approved. After review and discussion, Mr. Tallon withdrew his motion to <br />accept the Scheib proposal, Mr. O'Grady withdrew his second. *4r. Tallon then moved <br />to place the proposal back into B7.D Committee, to be considered at the Special B7.D <br />Committee Meeting on March 1?_th, second by Mrs. Petrigac, unanimously approved. <br />~~„~~-. _. v.,~y <br />
