<br />Mr. Bill Sluka, 25867 Byron, also discussed Ordinance No. 84-124 and requested
<br />that the ordinance be amended to exclude Homecoming; feels this ordinance will
<br />hinder the Jaycees from attracting quality rides which are a big part of what makes
<br />Homecoming successful. It might be possible to amend the Ordinance and have a
<br />section specifically addressing the Homecoming. Is now negotiating with ride's
<br />people, will have to obtain prior approval and there is no guarantee that these
<br />people will be housed. Mayor Swietyniowsky stated the legislation will be looked
<br />into a little further.
<br />LEGISLATION:
<br />Ordinance No. 84-57 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading.. An
<br />ordinance authorizing the City to "pick-up" employee contributions to the Ohio
<br />Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as amended. Mr. ?ailamosky stated that
<br />he believes this is a beneficial program for employees, however, since some ob-
<br />jections have been made, he reluctantly, and with some reservations, moved Council
<br />table Ordinance No. 84-57, second by Mrs. Petrigac. Roll call on motion: Affirma-
<br />tive vote: Bierman, Petrigac, Tallon. Negative vote: O'Grady, Rademaker, Saringer,
<br />Wilamosky. 3 Aye - 4 Nay - Motion failed. Mr. ?ailamosky moved for adoption,
<br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously defeated. Ordinance No. $4-.57 not adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 84-113 introduced by Psr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. An
<br />ordinance reducing the current and future salaries of employees of the City con-
<br />tributing to the Public Employees' Retirement System (PFRS) by an amount equal to
<br />the employee's contribution to PERS and further directing the Finance Director to
<br />pay the reduced proceeds into the Public Employees' Retirement Fund, and declaring
<br />an emergency, as amended. Mr. Wilamosky, reluctantly and with some reservations,
<br />moved Council table Ordinance No. 84-113, second by Mrs. Petrigac. Affirmative vote:
<br />Bierman, Petrigac. Negative vote: O'Grady, Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky.

<br />O'Grady, unanimously defeated. Ordinance No. 84-113 not adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 84-119 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its third reading.
<br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for
<br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1985. Mr. ?,lilamosky
<br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote:
<br />O'Grady, Petrigac, Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon, ?Jilamosky. Negative vote: Bierman.
<br />6 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried. Ordinance No. 84-119 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 84-122 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its third reading.
<br />An ordinance approving the extension of sanitary sewer services to approximately
<br />forty-five (45) acres of land south of Cook Road, consisting of approximately two
<br />hundred forty (240) residential lots located in Olmsted Township. Mr. O'Grady moved
<br />for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 84-122
<br />adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 84-123 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its third reading.
<br />An ordinance approving the extension of sanitary sewer services to approximately
<br />forty-eight (48) acres of land off Fitch Road and Cook Road and consisting of
<br />approximately ninety (90) residential lots and a six (6) acre shopping strip located
<br />within Olmsted Township. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer,
<br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 84-123 adopted.
<br />Prior to Council's adoption of Ordinance Nos. 84-122 and 84-123, Mr. Wilamosky asked
<br />if the lateral in North Olmsted is relatively close to the flow line of these prop-
<br />erties and also, would there be any additional cost to the City of North Olmsted to
<br />put in a feeder line or anything to accept the potential treatment out of these
<br />properties. Mayor Swietyniowski stated there would not.
