Council Minutes of 10/22/86 <br />-3- <br />Letters and Communications: <br />Clerk of Council read a letter from the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company <br />~~ which announced their intention to file an application with the Public Utilities <br />Commission of Ohio for authority to amend and increase their filed schedules for <br />electric service. Proposed rates and charges will be availabe for viewing in the <br />Clerk's office during regular working hours. <br />Audience participation: <br />Joseph Corrigan, 6369 Brighton Drive, addressed council with respect to the <br />Council-at-Large vacancy on council; vehemently opposes the appointment of <br />James Logan to fill this position. <br />Lillian Kordish, 28541 Alden Drive, protested the colors being used at Plaza <br />South by Biskind Development Corporation. Would like North Olmsted to adopt <br />some enforceable standards; perhaps the administration could declare a <br />moratorium on construction. Law Director advised the city could not declare <br />such a moratorium; it could establish reasonable regulations; establish certain <br />criteria. President Saringer requested the Clerk to request information from <br />the City of Hudson. <br />President Saringer requested that the minutes show Councilman Lackey now <br />present as of 8:55 P.M. Mr. Lackey apologized for his tardiness; just got <br />in on an 8:10 flight. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 86-86 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1986. Mr. Wila- <br />mosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Ordinance <br />No. 86-86 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 86-85 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expendi- <br />tures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1986, <br />as amended. <br />Resolution No. 86-89 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />A resolution authorizing West Shore Cable TV Systems to sell their assets to a <br />subsidiary of Cable Vision Systems Corporation. <br />Ordinance No. 86-90 introduced by Mr. Lackey was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to approve current replacement pages to the Codified Ordinances; to <br />adopt new matter, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 86-92 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 1213.04 of the Zoning Code of the City of North <br />Olmsted entitled "Improvement of Parking Areas" of Chapter 1213 entitled <br />"Detailed Requirements". <br />Resolution No. 86-94 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. A <br />resolution calling on Governor Richard F. Celeste to take all necessary steps <br />to permanently close the Perry Nuclear Power Plant and the Davis-Besse Nuclear <br />Power Plant. <br /> <br />
