Council Minutes of 7/1.5/86
-5-
Audience participation (cont'd):
Mr. Robert Ehlers, 5278 Victoria Lane, resident of Great Northern Village
Apartments, reported that there has been talk about the management removing
the doors of the garages in this complex. There has been very good security
in the complex in the past; is concerned that with the garage doors removed
this security will be lost, especially since the swimming pool has been moved
dawn to the end of the property and there is a lot more traffic through this
area with kids taking short cuts. What is the city code with respect to
garages having doors? Law Director advised that the code requires so many
garages per number of suites; whether these garages have to have doors or
not is something that has been referred to the Building Commissioner for a
ruling; he is the only official in the city who has the right to make a
ruling after looking at the Ohio basic building code, dwelling house code and
the city's own ordinances.
Mrs. Lois DeBrodt, President of North Olmsted Community Council, asked that if
anyone would like to place a patron ad, personal or business, she would be
in the back of the council chambers to take the ad for placement in the. brochure
for the Homecoming which will be celebrated on August 21, 22, 23 and 24th.
LEGISLATION:
Ordinance No. 86-53 introduced by Mr. Tallon. was given its third reading.
