Council Minutes of 7/1/86 _4_ <br />(d) Barlow Plaza, north side of Lorain Road, west of 30572 Lorain Road. <br />Proposal. to construct a retail building. Approved.by ARB on June 18th .and Planning <br />Commission on June 24th. There are two lots involved and BZD's recommendation is <br />to handle the retention at the onset of the entire development. This will be a <br />two-phase development. Mrs. Saringer moved to approve the above stated proposal, <br />incorporating all suggestions of ARB and Planning .Commission, the BZD Committee and <br />with recommendations of the City Forester, second by Mr. Rademaker, unanimously <br />approved. <br />(e) Aetna Door Company, 31546 Lorain Road. Proposal to construct a <br />building in a limited industrial area. Variance was granted by BZA on June 4th <br />and approved by ARB on June 18th and Planning Commission on June 24th. Owner pre- <br />sented plans, reviewed the site and landscaping plans and BZD Committee requests <br />all lighting be maintained on the zoned property. Mrs. Saringer moved to approve <br />the above stated proposal with recommendations. of ARB, Planning Commission and <br />BZD Committee, second by Mr. Rademaker, unanimously approved. <br />(f) Great Northern Plaza South. .Proposal to construct retail store and <br />arcade addition to Plaza South. Plans. approved by Planning Commission and ARB; <br />BZD Committee has no objection. Mrs. Saringer moved to approve. above stated proposal <br />with the recommendations of the ARB and Planning Commission, second by Mr. O'Grady, <br />unanimously approved. <br />(g) Great Northern Business Park, located on south side of Country Club <br />Boulevard. Proposal to construct Phase I. Preliminary Xand use plan approved by <br />council on June 3rd, approved by ARB on June 18th and by Planning Commission on <br />June 24th; BZD Committee has no objection. Mrs. Saringer moved to approve the <br />above stated proposal with recommendations of the ARB and Planning Commission, <br />second by Mr. Rademaker, unanimously approved. <br />(h) Pebblebrook Subdivision. Revised plan presented by Mr. Carl Andreano. <br />Council had previously approved plan for this subdivision, however, it was re- <br />submitted with eight additional lots, for a total of 59 lots. Committee has no <br />objection and will ask for suspension of rule requiring three readings on Resolu- <br />tion No. 86-59 for passage this evening. Mrs. Saringer moved to approve said re- <br />vised plans for Pebblebrook Subdivision, second by Mr. Rademaker. Law Director <br />Gareau pointed out that this project was covered by resolution and therefore Mrs. <br />Saringer's motion was unnecessary. Mrs. Saringer withdrew her motion; Mr. Rade- <br />maker withdrew his second. <br />2) Mrs. Saringer also reported receipt of a letter with regard to a rezoning re- <br />quest; area in question is currently zoned single family and the Great Northern <br />Properties Company is requesting a rezoning; it is in an abutting mixed-use zone; <br />will request that legislation be drafted for council's consideration. <br />Mr. O'Grady, Chairman Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee reported: <br />1) Moved council have no objection to .the issuance of an F2 liquor permit for The <br />Friends of Mayor Petrigac Golf Outing affair to be held on August 20, 1986, at <br />the North Olmsted Party Center, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. <br />Mr. McKay, Chairman Streets and Drainage Committee as well as Environmental Control <br />Committee reported: 1) Streets and Drainage Committee met on Thursday, June 19th, <br />with Finance Director Boyle, Service Director Noble, City Engineer Schaller, Public <br />Works Commissioner Gorsuch, Councilmen O'Grady, Tallon, Lackey and guest, Mr. <br />Fairfield. After much discussion, the projects for further consideration are <br />West 231st, North Park Drive, Sunset Oval and Virginia Avenue. Due to financial <br />constraints and problems with in-house labor, committee will meet again to finalize <br />plans. <br />~, .,,. <br />
