Council Minutes of 10/20/87 -6- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 87-102 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other ex- <br />penditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987, <br />as amended. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, <br />second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-102 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-103 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 9(C) of Ordinance No. 87-53 entitled, "an ordin- <br />ance establishing rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel, and declaring an emergency, as amended", and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 87-104 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expendi- <br />tures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987, as <br />amended. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, <br />second by Mr. Tallon. Affirmative vote: Bohlmann, Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, <br />Tallon, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Rademaker. 6 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon. Affirmative vote: <br />Bohlmann, Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, Tallon, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Rademaker. <br />6 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried. Ordinance No. 87-104 adopted. Mr. Lackey <br />explained his "yes" vote: While he feels very strongly that the separation be- <br />tween the administrative form of government and the legislative form of govern- <br />ment should remain intact, when a situation arises where the needs of the <br />citizens need to be met, then council is prompted to act and in this instance, <br />he will support this legislation under those premises. <br />Resolution No. 87-105 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for 1,500 tons of road salt, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, <br />and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Resolution No. 87-106 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for 50,000 gallons of sodium aluminate for use by the North Olmsted Wastewater <br />Treatment Facilities Plant. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Resolution No. 87-107 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />A resolution accepting the final report of the auditing firm of Peat, Marwick, <br />Main, which report was conducted under the auspices o£ N.O.A.C.A., with funding <br />from the Urban Mass Transportation Administration dealing with the comparison <br />of the City of North Olmsted and the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority <br />relative to cost of operating transit service, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as <br />referral to committee, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. Mr. O'Grady <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. Resolution <br />No. 87-107 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-108 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted <br />providing for "no parking" on both sides of Butternut Ridge Road, from where <br />the same intersects with Dover Center Road to where it also intersects with <br />Porter Road, and declaring an emergency. <br />,~, _ _ <br />
