Council Minutes of 10/20/87 -7- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />~°i Ordinance No. 87-109 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />'~ An ordinance accepting an easement for the installation and maintenance of a <br />water line for the purpose of circulating water service by the City of Cleveland <br />through land owned by Westside Land Company, Sunrise Development Company, Milton <br />A. Wolf and Harlan E. Sherman, Trustee, and declaring an emergency. Referred <br />to BZD Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 87-110 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to purchase a used 1984 <br />Ford to be used by the Parks and Recreation Division, on an emergency basis, <br />rather than by public bidding, and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved <br />for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, <br />second by Mr. Lackey. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Bohlmann, Lackey, <br />McKay, O'Grady, Rademaker, Tallon. Negative vote: Wilamosky. 6 Aye - 1 Nay - <br />Motion carried. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption, second by Mr. Lackey, unani- <br />mously approved. Ordinance No. 87-1i0 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-111 introduced by Mr. Bohlmann was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1321 of the Codified Ordinances <br />entitled, "Permit and Inspection Fees", and declaring an emergency. Mr. Bohlmann <br />moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings as well as referral to <br />committee, second by Mr. Lackey, unanimously approved. Mr. Bohlmann moved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. Lackey, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-111 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-112 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus personal property owned by the City <br />of North Olmsted and previously used by the Department of Public Service, the <br />Safety Department and the Recreation Complex, and declaring an emergency. Re- <br />ferred to Finance Committee. <br />Miscellaneous Business: <br />President Saringer announced that due to next week's general election, the next <br />regular Council Meeting would be held on Wednesday, November 4, 1987. <br />President Saringer scheduled a Council of the Whole Committee Meeting for <br />Tuesday, October 27th, at 8 P.M., in regard to the city's finances and requested <br />all of council and the administration to be in attendance; meeting will be open <br />to the public. <br />President Saringer requested a joint meeting of Finance Committee and Streets <br />and Drainage Committee as quickly as possible to consider the Porter Road Project. <br />President Saringer also announced that Thursday, October 22nd, is Meet Your <br />Candidates Night at the North Olmsted Senior Center; meeting will start at <br />7:30 P.M., with an informal period from 8:30 to 9:30 P.M. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled an Environmental Control Committee Meeting for Tuesday, <br />October 27th, at 7 o'clock and requested the presence of the Service Director <br />and the Forester. <br />Mr. McKay asked the Mayor if there was any new information on the crosswalk at <br />Great Northern and Brookpark. Mayor replied there was not, however, she does <br />have a meeting scheduled with some traffic people and plans to address this <br />situation with them to see what needs to be done about the timing of the traffic <br />lights. <br /> <br />
