Council Minutes of 7/21/8.7 _4_
Mr. Wilamosky stated that there is a very bad flooding situation in many areas
of the city. Back as far as 1968 there was discussion and recommendation to
straighten out the ditch and eliminate the 90° turn so the water could move
faster. Would remind council that it is presently considering the Bradley Oaks
Subdivision; this subdivision would also flow into this same ditch that cannot
handle the water now and will impact this particular problem even more by putting
more volume into the over-loaded ditch. Improvements to alleviate the flooding
situations are going to require additional revenues and these revenues are only
going to be generated through vehicles such as the tax issues that council has
been considering.
LEGISLATION:
Ordinance No. 87-53 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading.
An ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administrative and
legislative personnel, and declaring an emergency, as amended.
